I imagine there maybe some in this same boat no question and others that dont care one bit.
I've always felt being young helped regarding dressing. I cant quite understand why it affects me this bad.

We're those type you've described who couldn't care less, op. Growing old disgracefully and wearing age appropriately until we decide to let loose. Prim and proper pillars of the community, and then... |

I think growing old is a privilege that is denied to so many that it such a shame to hijack the inevitable! Happens to us all at exactly the same rate and a bit silly to waste it by feeling bad about it!

Growing old has always made me really upset....seeing me kids grow up affects me too. My husband found me crying with our first daughter when she was only 2 weeks old....saying she wasn't allowed to grow up because it would mean losing this version of her |

sorry you felt like that. You should always talk to someone if you are feeling unwell especially regarding children. The good news is, as a human parent it’s your job to help them grow.

"Down hill over 40! You must be joking It only gets better especially when you hit 60. "
Thank you.
Though I appreciate other people's comments on this thread, and the situations they have faced, your comment is just the boost I need |

Feel like I've got better with age more comfortable and confident in myself embracing being more natural and less worried about what others think about me and more focused on what makes me happy inside
Just need to loose this extra lockdown weight though lol |

Age is just another number isn't it? I'm never fussed about my birthday. I'm quite lucky as I've been told I still look young but I'm sure that will change soon. I'll wake up one morning, and look at myself in the mirror and realised I don't recognise they guy in that mirror anymore lol |

Yes I totally understand, that’s also partly why I have decided to transition some time ago, just couldn’t see myself grow old as my assigned sex , but it’s not as bad if I imagine growing into an old lady.
Having said that none likes to grow old I guess ... |

"I don't struggle with growing old really. It's not as if you can do anything about it.
The thing is you're never going to be younger than you are right now." Yes and there's still plenty of people in our age group on here |

I really don’t mind getting older.
I am more conscious of the need to keep fit & healthy than I was in my 20’s but my mindset is still young.
If anything I feel better & more confident than I ever did when I when I was younger & that’s quite liberating.

"My big toe hurts when I walk or run more than a couple of miles. Will it get worse?
It’s all downhill after 40
Life only starts after 40 "
I would agree but it's mindset isn't it, if you think you're old n past it.... You'll behave old n past it |

Unfortunately we cannot stop the inevitable but I think there are pro's and con's. My biggest concern is loss of libido, but I imagine most people on here have a relatively high sex drive so that will hopefully not be an issue for some time! To see so many peeps on here that are maturing disgracefully is always encouraging. I also believe that the old saying of life begins at 40 is so dated, there are people here well into their 60's and 70's putting the younger members to shame. Its really is a matter of a state of mind, live every day and enjoy every experience.
From a crossdressing point of view, I was always into mature dressers when I was younger and now I'm knocking on that door myself, or am I, I'm not really 100% what is classed as mature anyway ? It of course takes a bit more effort to achieve a decent look but that is all part of the fun and experimentation. The shape wear and cosmetics our there now is amazing and the internet makes all of these items available with a click. The biggest pro for me is the kids are grown up and thay means more time for us and for Debbie time, it also means that financially I have a bit more disposable income to spend on becoming Debbie and travelling for meets and makeovers. Embrace it hun as there is no stopping the clock. Gorgeous pics BTW |

We entered this lifestyle later in life than most and for us it’s been the best boost ever.
We actually feel at our prime right now and can’t wait till we can resume meeting and going to clubs again.
Embrace your age and let it work in your favour! |
