Has everyone taken to using more than one question mark when asking a question and using several exclamation marks when trying to get over their point, it's ridiculous and totally unnecessary!!!!!!
It really annoys me. |

I tend to think that's when someone is getting aggy.
Do you feel relaxed after your bath? = normal question, no emotion as such.
Are you taking the fucking piss????? = aggy question, needs apparent emphasis.
Either that or it could be that people are trying to use their phone emojis which translate to question marks instead of using the site emojis which work |

Why does it annoy you? Seems quite an insignificant thing to let bother you.

Not really. sometimes just one ? Or! Doesn't cut it.
One ! Indicates excitement. Several indicates extreme excitement or perhaps exasperation depending on the context. Perhaps it's laziness in terms of vocabulary but the rules of writing are going to ensure some cha fed the more we rely on texting to communicate. |

By the way, I'm not seriously being that serious before anyone calls me Karen or something. Just messing about. Makes me laugh when people get wound up about these things (and I suspect the op is a little tongue in cheek as well) |
