Eased off a little on the bike as I've been running a few (4 since Christmas) half marathons and have picked up a knee injury. I'm currently looking for a decent touring bike as I want to do some decent tour this summer. |

I’ll have an hour on the turbo later; nothing to strenuous as I’m still carrying a calf injury.
But the good news is that the Tour of Cambridgeshire has been moved back to September, so I’m more time to train back to fitness |

If you do get a higher end trainer the climbing on zwift really does translate to the road bike and it's such an accessible form of training once you have the setup, I'd recommend investing in a good trainer and a fan from screwfix I've got a Saris H3 and it has changed the game for me |

Lovely 50k and 600 metres of climbing on Sunday just gone. First time outdoors this year. Was lovely to be outside after spending hours on the turbo this winter.
Smart trainer and zwift has been an absolute game changer this winter. Can say I've ever smashed all my strava segments in February before |

Sadly not managed much this year, so far, it's mainly been commuting
(barring a couple of rides to Aberford & Tadcaster)
I think l've probably driven 5 working days since Jan 1st
I had hoped to get out yesterday, but had a few things to do
Hopefully l'll be out today (as Wed/Thurs are my days-off for this week)
On leave Mon-Sat next week, so hope to get out more
I mainly get around the area between Leeds/Tadcaster/Selby/Wentbridge (if you drew an imaginary square) |

I did c2c over 2 days a few years ago. I took the northern route from Sellafield to Whitby. Hardknott Pass nearly killed me.
Since then done Leeds to Bristol over 3 through the Brecon Beacons
And Leeds to Paris over 6.
When touring not really happy doing over 100k a day (and 80 is much better) |

Was meant to be triathlon, but initially they cancelled the swim saying we would just run twice now shit canned all together
Having changed career I was finally getting the time to dedicate to training and had spoken with a few smaller companies regarding support. Hopefully the later half of the year will be better |

I got into road riding properly last year as a way to burn some energy, fat and loose some time in lockdown - but it became addictive!
Also using it to help and improve my fitness for the other bike sports I do, hopefully it does help out! |

We had Majorca 70.3 in May, which has now been moved to October. This was our planned warm up race before Ironman Vitoria-Gasteiz on July 11th. Mr also has Ironman Wales scheduled for September.
We'll have to try and find another Olympic or mid distance event around May to replace Majorca. Seen Dorney, Cotswold, Huntsman and Marlow in May and Ultimate half in Shropshire in June. |

I’ve happily been enjoying time on the turbo trainer over winter and averaging about 450km weekly at the moment.
Was so tempted to go out on the roads today but realised I’d stripped the rear brakes and haven’t yet refitted them! So it was back on Zwift for an A race for 50km.
Cant wait to get out into the sun again on the bike aiming for a 100km ride to and from home to cotswolds areas on a weekend. Love a little coffee and cake stop round those areas.
Also booked to do London to Paris in august as well.... next stop is to try out an ISM saddle as well |

My 70.3 in Finland was deferred from last year , so need to decide if I’ll travel this year for it.
First vaccine jab today for me, and hope to venture out for a couple of hours easy tomorrow for first time this calendar year - Zwift has taken a kicking thus far in 2021! |

I was hoping to take part in the Zell Am Zee 70.3 this September but the entries from last year have been deferred to this. I’m now looking at my first 70.3 next year with the full 140.6 in 2023. Not sure which one yet, but it won’t be a UK one |

I'm going to have to build up to a 70.3 this season. It's the psychological mountain of having to run a half marathon after a pleasant swim and bashing out 90km at speed on the bike, which is a problem for me.
I'd much rather sit down and have a cold beer after that amount of effort.
Good luck for yours and for the ironman distances if they go ahead.

I’ll have a look at that, I fancy the Enervit race in Italy. I’ve noticed a couple of 70.3’s in the UK drop in later in the year, but I’m just getting over a calf tear and haven’t been in the water since October (but that’s the easiest stage to pick up) |

Just over 4 hours, but wasn't pushing the speed. First longish ride in a while. Also, no café stops, so the last 15 miles or so I was cycling on empty. Xx |

Trying to ride everyday this year, which I've managed so far. Some rides have only been a 1-2 mile local ride. With the warmer weather longer rides should be possible.
On recent rides I've took the opportunity to get a few naughty Fab pics as you can see from my profile. |

Only been out a couple of times so far this year
I’m far too afraid of ending up on my 4rse to go out while the roads are still very wet or icy
I’m sure there will be plenty more rides over the coming months in the North East anyway |

I commute to work every day on my mountain bike. When I can, I visit the forest of dean. There is some great routes there, you get a good workout and the adrenaline rush of going down some of the paths at high speed. I am about to get an ebike conversion kit for the wife's bike so that she can keep up with me. |

Difficult one
I'd love a full-on 'retro' (new old stock) Ritchey P21
Complete with every component that Ritchey produced
Stem, bars, seat-pin, saddle, cantilevers, chainset, pedals, tyres, rims, BB, head-set, bottle-cage
For the road, a Merlin, or Litespeed titanium
Dura-Ace, with Ritchey stem/bars/set-pin
All-rounder;
Mine's fine, but a better quality framset (& lighter!!) |

My summer Pinarello F12, which I've yet to ride on the road. Can't wait to get out on it once the climate changes. It was a toss up between the F12 and the Colnago C64, which would probably be my new fantasy bike. |

Zwift and other apps/games aren't necessary but lots of people enjoy them, M prefers to use the turbo in ERG mode and just watch tv set the target wattage and pedal for time. Investing in the higher end direct drive turbos really does pay off though in my opinion |

Bkool .... RGT cycling... both good I'm not really an indoor cyclist...I have a Turbo but hardly use it..I sort loads of customers home set ups when they come of the roads...mind you most have been on the roads this winter, I've fitted up loads of Winter spec road bikes this year |

I’ve done a few on RGT now, more realistic than zwift and it’s cheaper.
I’m not a fan of erg mode, I like to choose myself if I want to the top or bottom of a zone. |

Depends on how you ride it, ours was just turning the legs today. Yesterday was seriously pushing it. 21 miles can be enough if you're hitting a high average. All winter miles will hopefully produce some summer smiles. |
