I admit it x I love Valentine's Day x I get that's it's a commercial event and some people don't like it x but I'm an old romantic at heart x
I much prefer sending cards or buying flowers on a random day to cheer up someone special x
This year with everyone stuck at home and businesses being creative to earn our hard gained cash I understand that there is a premium to pay x
My local restaurant is doing a ( their words)5Star premium meal deal £80 for two ( 4 courses) and that doesn't include wine!
For something that I've got to heat up myself and do the dishes afterwards- that's surely a rip off - especially when you see what you can get for twenty quid at a supermarket |

£80?! Yeah that seems steep without wine. I'd expect it to be absolutely amazing!
I ordered a beef Wellington online as it worked out cheaper than making it myself, that way I can focus more on other activities planned too rather than faffing in the kitchen! We are going to make a cheesecake together later though.
Places do cash in on the day don't they but I guess why not, if people are prepared to pay it? And I guess times are so tough for our locals at the moment.
I hope you have an amazing day OP! Xxher |

I never understand why people think last minute then complain about cost as you have plenty of time before the actual day to prepare and it's about the thoughtful gesture and effort that makes it romantic |
