Maybe, if it’s the right person , and you find something more meaningful, depends what you mean by vanilla?....missionary with the lights off and not tearing underwear ? No way. Used to hop around the globe for work now stand in my kitchen all day on the phone, used to fell run now jog around town, we adapt and tastes change over time.

I the male half would say , it would be hard to go back to vanilla, but in saying that to do swinging as a couple you both have to want it not just one. And you have to meet someone you trust to bring it up in the first place, so you need to get in a happy relationship before asking to bring in others |

I think it is as that's what we have done since last March, aside from a couple of forgettable encounters in the summer.

After this last 12 months of finding things out about myself, probably not as I've realised I'm Polyamorous.
It certainly explains a lot of things and why I have never felt I could never feel like one person fulfilled both my sexual and more importantly, mental needs and also why I couldn't understand why anyone else would think that I was everything they could want either.
Who's to say that one person couldn't make me sway from that but right now I very much doubt one person will ever be all I could want.

Is it really going back?
Is it not moving on to the next stage, perhaps not the last stage but the next.
(I'm happy with "Vanilla" as people call it, but still within that it would be - Madagascan Vanilla - rich and creamy, Mexican Vanilla - bold, dark, smokey, Indian Vanilla - full, chocolate. Indonesian Vanilla - mild, well balanced. Tahitian Vanilla - floral, cherry-chocolate. Tonga Vanilla - earthy, fig, raisin.
But never do i want "Vanilla flavouring" I want the real thing. ) |

know quite a few who have gone back to normal sex /lifestyle ... if my hubs wanted to quit swinging then so would i because to me swinging is usno him no swinging same the other way around we do this for us |

We all go through phases in our lives. We do things now that we would not have done before and we also don’t do things that we did before.
The important dynamic is the couple and how the couple phases change and evolve. Nothing ever stays the same. |
