Mayo on one piece, cranberry sauce on the other, a slice of iceberg lettuce, a thick slice of cold stuffing and cold roast potatoes sliced ... yummy! Especially on either fresh tiger bread or ciabatta |

Me between two guys - or I'd be happy with freshly grilled steak, sliced with onions and the crusty bread rubbed with garlic and a drizzle of extra virgin Greek olive oil. |

Now that was poverty. "
You can still get it, B&M stores stock it. Heinz sandwich spread, smells like vomit but palatable. I occasionally buy a jar to put on cheese banjo's |

Bifanas are traditional Portuguese sandwiches made with thin slices of pork that are marinated and simmered in a sauce of white wine, garlic, and paprika and served on soft rolls with plenty of mustard and piri-piri sauce. |
