is it us or are they springing up all over the place lately, there is a lot more than this time 2 years ago, just wondered if people thought that this is a good thing or bad, more choice is always welcome but is it making the established clubs less busy |

It will have two effects, one that swinging be comes more open and people will see its not that dirty, seeds or the news of the world will have a field day pin pointing clubs out with photos of people going in!!!.

Well i run a club ( obviously cant say the name as dont want to promote commercial services) and we set one up due the severe lack of places to go in our area and we dont even advertise as its by word of mouth from those who have attended before, but we find that we are meeting new people who want to swing but are scared to make that first meet and they prefer the club/party scene as they can window shop before trying out the goods, with no pressure and that is a fantastic thing. As for the larger clubs i feel they can be cliquie and sometimes a cattle market so therefore i prefer the smaller venues as they are more intimate and friendly like the old fashioned house parties used to be,

Personally i think its a bad thing, im not saying there should only be two or three in the country but theirs far to many now, ive been using clubs for about 9 years now and they was much better when their was less choice, bussier and more playing too, just take chameleons for example, used to go sundays regular a few years ago and it was always a good night, very busy always a lot of play going on, its just a waste of time going now, last time i went on a sunday i left about 9pm which is very unlike me at all, it was bad for a wednesday lunch time never mind a sunday evening lol and its not just that club ive found it at a few, cause people have more choice you get less in each club, i have also found since more clubs have opened and swingings got so much more popular lots of couples just tend to use them as a trendy social club lol so when you do go on nights that are busy not much seems to happen |

There are a few new clubs as you say.
But I think the good, clean clubs will survive, while tatty, dirty clubs will shut down.
Some of our favorite clubs from say 8/9 years ago have not, it seems to us, re-invested the money into their establishments.
The ones we tend to go to now may charge a few quid more to get in, but we'd rather pay that to know we're getting nice clean towels and playrooms.
