Just wondering if anyone has booked or is going to book any holidays this year , do we think it will be another year of no playing and no holidays , love to hear your views
Also not sure how it stands if you book and another lockdown happens |

We're due to go away in March, just waiting for it to be cancelled. If so we'll rebook for May, but that's unlikely too! Unfortunately there may be no swinging holidays this year. We'd settle for a holiday in the sun, just the two of us. We can only hope |

We've resigned ourselves to not going anywhere and will be as delighted as we are surprised if it turns out we're able to. With rules changing so fast, it's quite a leap of faith to book something now and maybe even go somewhere not knowing how long it might take to get home again. We'd want a relaxing holiday and that'd be more stress than it's worth for us. |

I have a weeks golf in Portugal in June, postponed from last year. Not entirely confident that will happen. Otherwise I’ll wait to see what the situation is and maybe try to get away in October, but it’ll be a beach holiday rather than anything more glamorous |

I’ve got holidays booked and have booked since.
As long as your not too disappointed if they are cancelled and are 100% sure you’re insurance covers it then I don’t see the issue. Also that your happy with any changes to covid guidance like isolating on return and things xx |

Been looking but never seem to book, feels like booking for it just to be cancelled, everyone thought things were improving but looks like we’ve took a massive jump backwards |

Yes.
Amalfi Coast in Sept.
10 nights.
Everything crossed that it goes ahead.
I should be in Sandals Jamaica right now!
Also, hoping for something around June/July, but not too hopeful.
It's such a fast moving situation, who knows. |

I was lucky to get a month in France in August at my place I'm doing up. Since then every ferry that I'd booked throughout the year has been cancelled. I'm booked to go in February and April but can't see it happening, then again for a month in August again (hoping and praying that one will happen). |

Just seen that pubs not gonna open till may bank holiday so am thinking that will be the same round the world so think holidays will be a non starter , also noticed that holidays available have major jumps in price any one seen the same |

Yes we would love to be looking forward to Gran Can too
not looking to book anywhere at the moment though,
couldn't be bothered with the fuss of it getting cancelled lol
Just checked the deal we were watching for late spring and it's maybe gone up very slightly, by £20 each or so. |

We've already received quitea few two and three-night bookings between late June and mid-August...
....no full weeks or longer yet - but anticipating there might be more people having 'staycation' holidays again this year...
....unlike some venues, however, we're not hiking our prices! |

I just posted this on another forum in the virus forum.
Sorry but anyone booking a holiday abroad in 2021 is completely delusional. The government have already warned us that there are still going to be restrictions in place next winter.
The vaccination program is expected to be rolled out into the autumn which is just the first injection, the second will be approximately 12 weeks later! You do the maths! |

The last lock down cost me over £1,000 in a lost holiday with a Villa company that wouldn’t pay!
I’m not booking anything until I consider it at least likely I will get to go ... I can wait!
I think anyone who does book a holiday at the moment does so entirely at their own risk and shouldn’t complain it does go wrong of they get quarantined.
As for Ryanair advertising’post jab holidays’ ... word fail me!!

Sandals are always brilliant resorts with great food.
It wasn't running a full capacity due to covid and had to book all restaurants but no big deal.
Beach was absolutely beautiful.
Antigua as an island are doing an amazing job where the virus is concerned to.i took my mask down and within minutes I was told by police to get it up.No messing. |

Oh Jeez, you two let loose in GC
Would the island know what it's in for
Avoiding high summer, it's quiet for swingers then and some clubs/bars close around
then for a bit, October through early november is a good (busy) time to go
We never know until nearer the time when we're going to be able to take a break though. |

We hope everyone that has booked a holiday isnt disappointed. We've decided to use our motorhome and stay in the uk this year and make the post of it.
We'll just look at the weather forecast and drive to where ever its going to be sunny. |

We usually book a week or so before we travel anyway, so are just playing it by ear and will go away when we feel happy to.
Regardless of what restrictions are in different places at the moment we don’t feel nows the time to be jumping on a plane so are just waiting for better times |

Further to your post Op
Apparently holiday bookings by the over 50's have shot up recently,
late summer especially popular, they're calling it vaccination confidence lol |

We didn't get last year because of the pandemic, hoping now with the roll out of the vaccine, restrictions will be eased, and nations can start to make inroads towards what was once considered normality |

I’m not booked (yet) but it would be great. That and all the other music festivals that I carried tickets over for. They’re my holidays . I’m not so hopeful.

We’re due to have had both our vaccines by July, so if we were to book abroad it would be September or October. Not sure yet whether we’d book into a swingers resort, but Gran Canaria is on the list of possible places to go.

We have Gran Canaria in May and Las Vegas in June rebooked from last year but don't think they will be happening. Won't be booking anything until places open up without restrictions. We were lucky that we managed to get away for 2 weeks in Malta last Sept but had to isolate for 2 weeks on our return. |
