Depends what you mean by fun, I used to scuba dive, windsurf and water ski, great fun. One of the best holidays I ever had was two weeks in Bali, the people, the food, the culture, all amazing. getting stoned in Amsterdam for a week was fun as well, but I was a lot younger then. |

If it's for now, just make sure that the high summer temperatures - northern hemisphere - are bearable for what you expect to do. I've had friends go off to northern Africa and had issues with the heat, yet others would love it, unless they were ill.
My ideas - for added interest, take a multi-location break(s), where you might combine coastal resort/activities with something like a cultural excursion into a vibrant city. Beware places like Madrid in summer too, as the weather can be extreme: a dream for some, but not others. I often do multi-area breaks in summer, sometimes even flying back into London or other hub airport city, and out again, not leaving the airport.
Iceland's a great place, if you like somewhere cooler - it's got spa type, incredible countryside and city life etc, so varied and stunning. Some would avoid like the plague, if they could get out to a country with better weather than we're having etc. It's currently about 13 in Reykjavík. Avoid Paris in August, as locals desert the place, is usually common advice too. |

I belive Cap D'Adge south of france is great, if you are a naturist too. Fun on the beach in the day, dress sexy in the evenings, naked all day and fun in the clubs at night. Then your room if you still want more.
That is where I am going to. |
