I am pretty covered in ink and have been adding for 20 plus years with more in the last few years however my reason is opposite to your thinking we are happy showing our bodies off.
I have had an excessive amount of surgery and have an 18 inch scar on my torso which has been opened 3 times . I went to a spa day where 2 woman pointed at me and were talking about me and my scar. At the time, for me, it was a sensitive issue. So now my complete torso is covered as, in my opinion, it takes the focus of attention away from my scar.
Some may say it’s an over reaction, until you have people point, gossip, at a part of your body you are conscious about you don’t know how you’ll react.
Also I don’t actually notice mine on me. It’s become a norm |

I think it's the person and attitude that makes someone hot, not the ink or lack thereof, confident people are sexier in my opinion, my tattoos just put a little of my personality on the outside is all.
It also depends on what the ink is and where.. a big neck tattoo on an otherwise unmarked person is a turn off for me but if it's part of larger pieces I love it.

I disagree with this as I have no tattoos at all, yet am on the Fet site you mention.
I have been active in the lifestyle for over 10 years.

In fairness the suggestion was that inked people are likely to be kinky, not that kinky people are likely to be inked.
I imagine it's just confirmation bias tbh.

I have wondered the same with regards to body positivity but suspect there are just as many who don't show off and that it's more a case of the tattoos making them stand out more, or just noticing the tattoos more because they are dressed to show off.
Its unfortunate that some misunderstood you as saying you need tatts to be kinky, I'm on the other site and have none - they'd not suit me at all. I always admire the skill and creativity; in terms of do I find them attractive, I think its more a case that if a woman I find attractive has them, it adds to the sexiness, but if I weren't attracted to her then tattoos wouldn't by themselves make her attractive to me, if that makes sense. |

I don’t see a direct correlation between the amount of ink one has and their adoption of the lifestyle anymore.
Years ago I would have agreed to a correlation between tattooed people and their acceptance of alternate lifestyles.
However, tattoos these days are as much a fashion accessory than anything else with a lot of people using numbing cream!

I love body art and it's a personal choice.
Although it's addictive, and I love lying back and getting a good session under the needle, and the smell of a tattoo parlor is refreshing..
