The ability to hold some semblance of a conversation will always stand you in good stead. If your opening line is 'Oioi darling' then you'll get nowhere.

Not having a hidden profile might help and just be yourself. I know that sounds cliché but it’s honestly true.
As to the some of the others in the group give the op a break they are asking for advice. We were all in the same boat once and it honestly makes you look bad as well. As most of us were taught if you don’t have anything nice to say then don’t say anything. |
