France, And sometimes in

Not rude, I think they are a simple way to initiate a contact.

I’ve no problem with people winking me. It’s a good little heads up for people that like me or would like to talk to me.

Everyone has their own preference.. some people reciprocate them, some people don’t bother checking them.

I personally use them, if one is returned I usually follow up with message.

"Why would they be rude? "

Not rude at all in my personal opinion.

However some might get offended if they receive from groups they don't fancy.

They can solve this by managing their filter.

I would not mind a wink so long as they then do not demand a response

Quite happy to get winks but always prefer a message. Not sure why single guys bother sending them to us though when it says on our profile we’re not interested in them. I mean if you want to try and change our minds that’s fair enough but surely you realise it would take a lot more than a wink! We would still never consider it rude though.

We quite enjoy receiving them.

It lets us see if there’s anyone locally that’s interested in us but has escaped our attention.

If the person is outside our area we just take it as a compliment that they liked our profile or our pics.

We very rarely wink at others though, if we’re interested we’ll just message.

Not really sure how we stand with winks. We've had winks and winked back and then nothing.

For us, if you send a wink you're interested therefore if you get a wink back isn't it up to you to initiate contact with a message???? After all, you winked first. If you then don't message, isn't that just rude?

Winks are great. Love the idea of what they represent.

Unfortunately I only seem to recieve them from guys rather than women and couples

What's all that about. Too many adopt this policy which is frustrating

They’re better than some messages I get.

What I would suggest however is that your profile needs to be interesting enough to warrant further interest from whoever gets the wink.

Yeah i much prefer a wink opposed to a half assed message like having much luck on here, usually check out the profiles behind the wink and then send a wink or message back if its mutual
