1) Yes it can be good - but at times there can be a fair few single men around. Bi nights are my particular favourite (but thats personal taste!)
2) The Flying Horse is a nice pub with some rooms above it across from the Town Hall. can't remember exactly how much but it was very reasonable and rooms were ok. And not too far to walk from the club when ur legs are like jelly |

having read your profile i would say that sunday would be the best time for you the sunday couples only session is normally shockingly good, weve been going on and off for 5 years ad always had a good time, the rest of the evenings are mixed nights with fewer couples, sunday hours 2pm (but doesnt start livening up till maybe 3.30) till 8pm, then singles allowed in, we sometimes stay and there is always a nice crowd and couples only room, or if not in the mood to go home go to partners which is about 8 mile away and has a couples only sunday evening session, (or sometimes go home due to stamina issues lol) as for places to stay cant help you there sorry xxx |

Sundays are usually good there. We've just started going on Sundays again after a 2 year break from the place and we've found the atmosphere is just as good as we remembered.
The Reed used to do rooms and is just down the road from the club but don't know if they still do them. |
