I have occasionally responded to a forum post by DM. But I do keep relevant to the post and not use it as a sideways attempt to contact them. Many are well outside of my preferred distance anyway. The reason for the DM, is because I have something relevant to say that I might not want to put on a public forum. |

I’m not bothered by people PM’ing. As others have said I’ve had some brilliant conversations that way. Only time it’s ever bothered me is on a thread about men becoming abusive when rejected. Literally as the thread was filling up I had someone doing exactly what we were talking about in a PM exchange. But it’s so easy to just block and report so not exactly a nightmare.  |

The wonderful world of fab...talk in forums get to know people...that’s the advice you’re given...message them as you like their profile and/or their view on a forum topic and get blocked |

People do this all the time, men, women and couples. It isn't gender specific.
I get messages from all sorts of people, which is fine, it's a public website for contacting people - the very essence of why the site exists is for strangers to message each other, and ultimately meet.
What's the problem? Just set your filters and get on with it like the rest of us. |

Tbf, I've had pm's from posts I've replied to. A few have been in agreement with what I've put and we've had a few good conversations and that's fine. However, I certainly object to others who feel they can message me to say such nasty things and think it's ok. By all means reply on thread if you've a different opinion but not to come direct and be nasty and aggressive |

I find the forum quite hard to navigate, to be honest. Probably because I’m used to Facebook telling me when someone has commented, replied or liked. I have commented on the forum and never known if that person has seen my comment, or gone back to a thread and found that someone commented days ago.
If it’s relevant and considerate, I don’t think a PM is out of order at all, and I’ve done it several times. It’s just another function of the site, and if your filters are open, then you’re going to get messages. |

Depends on the message, we got one off a right pair of grotbags last week, we made a joke on the forum and they messaged us directly slating our profile and saying we would be banned, we told them to jog on and have fun as they were missing humour and they sent a nasty message back and blocked us lol |

We pm'd a lady that replied to one of our threads, to be fair if was asking who was turned on by a fantasy and she replied very enthusiastically, we pm'd her because at the very least it would be nice to chat about it seen as how we both had the interest, she could accept if she wanted to, or not as the case may have been. Turned out she was extremely interested, had already sent a wink and replied within seconds, she is now a planned meet!
Sometimes you just have to take the shot
However, her professing her interest got her swamped by hundreds of other messages too so, you know, swings and roundabouts |
