That's one of the reasons I rarely use Kik now. "
The only reason I use Kik is that it doesn't need any private info such as a phone number. |

We use Telegram to chat off here. It's secure, where Kik isn't, as it's not fully encrypted. As someone who's had online breaches, this is important to me.
It doesn't require you to share any personal info inc phone number and I've never been 'found' because I selected not to share my details.
I love the added features and control the app affords you.

I think people can only find me with my user name, unless they are an existing contact. I could be wrong though. |
