Hi just downloaded app Duck Duck Go.
It’s supposedly a search engine that doesn’t allow tracking.
As we know Google and the rest track everything you do online.
Just wondering if other folks use duck duck go and if they know of any draw backs.
All I use it for so far is loging in to FAB.

Yes it does not track. You need to get familiar with the interface at the beginning.
Have in mind that some outcome comes from google.
Also, I do not have any problems with tracking when on Fab.
Many websites are tracking you anyway in the cookies. That is why when you look for a naughty toys, you then see them on most of the visited websites as an advert.
But YES, duckduckgo is limiting that all tracking for sure.

Works really well, and is discreet. I use the Tor browser too, which has built in VPN and end to end encryption, not that I do anything illegal but I object to living in the most surveilled society in the world. I am sure GCHQ can crack Tor but I don't see why I should make it easy for them. |
