Webcam Verification Question

Morning all. We’ve never been on webcam or attempted to gain a webcam verification BUT this has bugged me for some time...
When people go into the chat/cam rooms wanting a verification, please tell me that the people doing the verifying are cross referencing the cam with a face photo or distinguishing features within the albums on their profile?
Even if I have a face photo in an album, what does it prove anyway?
A cam verification to me just shows that you are alive and that’s it.
Thoughts anyone?

But even when you meet in real life, its not like you genuinely know that person? !
Really what you are hoping for is that they are:
1) the right sex
2) either individuals or couple as stated
3) gonna turn up if something is arranged
4) be clean, respectful and fun
5) have integrity (not divulge personal info /photos etc )
6) not turn into a psycho stalker thereafter
... And you won't know 5+6 until you take the plunge and step off the cliff??

All verifications are pointless really. They don't prove anything.
There's a live person behind every profile.  |

Take it as a compliment, a verification that you’re a male is all that’s needed lol. |

We just use cams for fun, chatted to plenty of people who haven’t left us a veri and it’s not bothered us.
If we were traveling to meet a couple we’d want to chat on cam or phone for a bit as well. Not just to see if they are who they say, but also if they can hold a conversation. |

I do take it as a compliment but worry if a woman or couple check out my profile a veri form a male might put them of form talking to me. Even tho there is nothing I can do to stop it. |

It just means they're breathing.
Doesn't prove they are who they say they are in any way. Also loads of veris is no guarantee they won't let you down either. Verification is no guarantee. It is supposed to show they are who they say they are. Only a real face to face meet veris can do that. Ideally a few as a meet veris can be easily faked too. |

Yeah, we tend to chat on here and then arrange a social meet (before this whole pandemic malarkey) and then go from there  |

I kinda get it but you’re not publishing any veris from males at the moment anyhow. Just keep doing what you’re doing |

Exactly this, we’re picky and then arrange a social meet. If they blow us out so be it. We’ll still have a great night out anyhow |

I dont bother with cam verifications. Waste of time in my view. I'll happily verify someone if I've met them, if not I dont bother with anything to do with camming. |

Also ask them to do something specific like scratch their nose with their little finger and their left eye closed. People can use recordings of other people to catfish. |

I'm not 100% sure but if you block single men they shouldn't be able to leave you a verification |

Always viewed them as a complete waste of time. It doesn't actually tell you whether they meet or not. If someone has cam only verifications I tend to leave them alone as I doubt they ever meet, which is why I am on here primarily. |
