First Shag Always the Best?

When I lost my virginity (many distant years ago) I keep remembering it as the best, and always compare that first time with every shag I've had since.
I've had incredible nights with singles and couples over the years, but each time during sex my mind flashes back to that first time, and I have the annoying habit of comparing my current shag with the first one, and no matter how incredible the sex is, I keep convincing myself that the first one was the best.
The passage of time has either exaggerated my memory of that first night, or it was the best one. I think that is partly the reason why I went swinging. I'm always trying to experience the ultimate shag that was better than the very first, and for some reason I can't convince myself that it was better than the first.
I guess the first time for anything can't be repeated. The moment came and went and can't be replicated. Might be because I was deeply in love with the girl I was with back then, and I subconsciously can't allow myself to forget her each time I have sex with another woman, and so I end up convincing myself after every shag that it was fantastic, but not as good as the first. Anyone else can't forget the memory of losing their virginity and thinking of it during sex?

My first time was rubbish.
Niether me or the girl knew what we were doing.
I was buzzing to have lost my virginity but after all the anticipation it was a real anti climax.
Sex has just got better and better with age and now I have a partner with such a deep connection it is absolutely amazing. |

You must have got lucky as my first was shocking.
I had no idea what I was doing, it hurt, I bled then panicked for days thinking I was broken beyond repair.
Thank god I’m older, wiser and hopefully better these days. |

I was 17 and for some strange reason had masturbated 5 times that day, this was the only time I'd ever done such a thing in my life or since! Mine was shocking...over in minutes, uncomfortable and not remotely sexy.
Thankfully I've more than made up for it since and am currently having the best sex ever, and it just keeps getting better
