Neither, more someone with whom I have a connection and chemistry with that is on the same wavelength as me where there is mutual trust and respect in place and we are able to discuss and communicate effectively to establish boundaries and limits and areas we would like to explore from an equals on opposite sides of the coin perspective.
Any "honorifics" would follow naturally and not be expected. |

Both are different. While Mistress sound like the féminin of Master, the role is different as I assume- rarely doing it-you are not familiar with the bdsm scene.
Master is more for a slave type of dynamic. So maybe you are talking about Dom/Domme...even if Mistress is mostly used for a Domme too. |
