As soon as this is all over I want to put on a huge party. With live music somewhere in Birmingham. There will be no naughty business at the event as it will be more of a meet and greet.
I would like to aim it more around polyamory/non-monogamous couples/people.
My question is will people be willing to come to such an event?  |

A lot more interest than I thought I would get xxxx what day of the week would you all prefer? And what style of music would you all like?

For music, surely 80s bangers are a win!! Happy to make a playlist 
Day of the week, depends where it is - weekends are obviously good for most (we're self employed so makes no odds to us) but might get a better deal somewhere on a weekday |

Right now I have no idea. I was thinking somewhere like a club with a good sized room but I am not to use to Birmingham but it’s something I am looking into. |

yes we would definitely attend this is something that has been on our minds for a long time..
would love to meet people in the same mind set...

Obviously it depends on what live music you’re talking about!... I mean, I am missing gigs, but still not going to watch Blue or Spice girls...  |

I gave them a call but they they did not want to reform for my do ???? I will be seeking a band that can play a little of everything lol |

That opens up a can of worms
Cover bands and then it's what type
We always feel ska band covers are best as most can have a skank to them
But having fun with like minded people is what we would look forward to
I must ask is this a poly gathering or just a well organised swingers social?

To be fair I am one of the ladies that runs the MLS- a pretty popular social and i have just realised I have never noticed if there’s music on in the background at the venue or not. Too busy chatting to everyone in the room.
Maybe what your aiming for is different (or is it? To be fair it does just sound like a big social - I’m not sure. Maybe I’ve read it all wrong) but people getting hung up on music choices as to wether they would attend or not sounds a bit mental to me!
Good work on the planning though - looking forward to it coming to fruition!  |

I love hearing the different opinions as it might help educate my choice
And I am aiming more for poly as it would be a great opportunity to meet people for the long run. Not just the one night stand. |

I think the difference is that those who might attend are looking for longer-term romantic as well as sexual relationships. Almost a speed dating evening! |

There may be places within The Custard Factory you could hire or, if a little further out isn’t an issue, The Engine Room.
Some of the smaller places along the Canal Basin may hire out too; you can also get canal boats for parties, I think. |
