BDSM/kinky social gatherings are commonly referred to as munches. There are regular munches throughout the country.
Around here there's Reading, Basingstoke, Burghfield, Farnborough, Winchester... loads. They're usually monthly, though some are fortnightly. |

Hi Lacey its a vanilla event for people with fetishes from sub/domme to erotica leather plastic babe.
"
I think that is slightly misleading these days.. Many years ago it was only used by fetishists, but for at least the last ten years, many sites we have been on have used the term to denote a meeting of like minded people but without the pressure to play.. Ideal first stop for those wanting to get into any scene!
And before the fetish crowd start bleating that it is theirs and others should leave it alone? It was explained to me that anything outside the "norm" can be deemed a fetish. For instance, I have a fetish for shagging other women outside of my marriage. At least four sites we know of use the term "Munch" as a social! |

Munches were started in the early 1990s by people who had an interest in BDSM and who were also online. (The Internet had not yet gone really mainstream.) These people began meeting at local restaurants. On the west coast, the original gatherings were held in Palo Alto, California, and called “burger munches.” After a while, particularly as the Internet grew in popularity, the idea caught on and similar gatherings began to be organized in other cities. Today, these “munches” as they are now called, are held in dozens of cities across the country and also in some foreign countries. Their number continues to grow. (Munches continue in Palo Alto to this day.) |

You could always change your shifts
And remember its a fetish socil dress code is strictly vanilla |

Swinging is seen differently to BDSM except when cross over events are organised and these Munches are about people who get together who see themselves in this 'community' in the specific context, no doubt many people who turn up have an interest in swinging but it really is about mind fucking in a BDSM context unless stated. |

"So will it be only those with an interest in BDSM who are attending or will there be those who are just in to swinging going also?"

We cannot do next Thursday but would love to know more about these meets, as we love the social side of swinging and would love the chance to meet people in a no pressure environment. Any advice /info much appreciated. |
