I've done all sorts for free, charity work, running clubs, running courses, secretary of organisations, managing a band. If you believe in something you are usually willing to put the effort n without financial recompense. |

I work with young carers twice a week!
They are a great wee group of 11-15yr olds that don't have a lot of free time due to caring for a loved one!
And when i say work, i mean take em to the pics, zoo and mcd's! |

I coach young athletes twice a week, have done football coaching too. Much more satisfaction with athletics.
If I could quit working I'd do it full time. |

We are Community First Responders for the ambulance service which is entirely voluntary. Basically we respond to category A calls like heart attacks, cardiac arrests, seizures, diabetics, strokes etc and try keep them alive until the ambulance crews arrive on scene to back us up. It can be very rewarding. |

I Am inspired by many of you on here, it is great to see that there are still people who care.
I have set up a foodbank with some friends in my town, and also do some work with mentoring kids. Love it, it's so rewarding

I imagine most workers wouldn't continue in the same job if they could afford not to, but as some of us have posted here, the voluntary work we'll do is awesome.
I've done tons of help, counseling, helping various disabled groups of people as well as elderly neighbours etc. I've currently got 2 voluntary jobs - one for students, which take quite a bit of my time, and find it really rewarding. I like variety in my life and just having 1 core job would limit my satisfaction. I'm often amazed when people haven't done voluntary work - realise some have very limited time, and I'm not critical of others, as we all have very different needs etc. |

I do unpaid work as I Marshal trackside for a local Banger Racing Club, 2 maybe 3 times a month. Its gd coz, although no pay, Free entry, Free panflet with all the past winners, trophies given out too, best looking vehicle, whose been disqualified / banned etc & Free Burger, chips & drink!!
Still pondering whether to get back into Banger racing again?? Just nudge & spin kinda stuff, nothing too daring like Destruction Derby, too many deadly dodgy drivers!! |
