Have you met a really polite person before? Is politeness something you appreciate? Or is it weird?

In my stupid but humble opinion politeness is not a thing the British tend to do on a daily basis but we think that here it’s just a way of life and not creepy at all.

Yes, over here, being nice can seem creepy.

Outskirts of Cardiff just off the M4

We still like manners, respect and politeness, there’s a time and a place for everything in life...

Sorry? Poss a typo but you believe that the Britsh are *not* generally polite?? From personal experience and travel it's one of the things they are reknowned for. Watch queues in airports, opening doors, traffic managment etc... Being polite diffuses much better than most other methods but YMMV - and it may be a default approach for most but it can switch faster than a Fab guy

I am always polite, however the majority of the time on here it counts for nothing, i totally get lots get inundated etc and im fully aware there are others that make it hard for the genuine ones etc but i think manners cost nothing, fab is one of those places im life where it doesn't matter.

Im under the impression nowadays of its just this place and not to let it bother me and i think others could be the same, but as we all say its life, we all deal with things differently and cope in certain ways.

There a little rant over, one of those that what make any difference anyeay.

Over and out

I’ve been dumped more than once for being ‘too nice’

Not bothered though, I’m just me, it’s their loss.

I always appreciate people being nice and polite.

I have no interest in rude people.

We're both overly polite (didn't realise till late) and yes we often get a strange look. Not going to change though, part of our characters.

Politeness is not weird, it's nice. I'm polite and that will never change. I like people who are polite to me too.

There is no such thing as too nice... You just have to know who deserves your niceness

If it’s any consolation you’re not alone there! I’ve been single for 8 years after 2 relationships lasting 20 years in total. I was ‘too nice’ to both of them - and they both thought it was a license to treat me like shit!

We can’t change who we are though!

Yep. It’s them who’ve lost out. We can celebrate our niceness until someone comes along and deserves us
