It's actually not that far off the truth OP that if you take out the single male profiles that don't "get" the site and how it works, have the wrong expectations and attitude - that the number imbalance isn't actually that big.
As said above, why worry about how others use the site? Focus on your experience of it and interacting with it, and other users, in the best possible way and you'll either sink or swim on your own merits. |

I'd make the FAQ a bit more robust. Women and couples tend to get an overwhelming amount of mail on first joining, and we strongly recommend turning filters on high (like (example)) for a day or two while you learn to navigate the site. |
