Iv never noticed anyone wearing one with HW or other trinket to indicate they are a swinger. I have noticed plain ones which one sure were worn just to look pretty. I'm not sure if I'd say anything if I did spot one with HW SLUT or similar on it.

What is your source for such a claim, have you done any research on the subject or have you grabbed the figure from thin air?
At the same time you do not differentiate between swingers' anklets and generic anklets.
We would assume that many women who wear generic anklets as an accessory may not know the significance of the swingers' anklets but we doubt even the the percentage would be as much as 99%.
If you are writing about swingers then we would be surprised if less than 99.9% of them do not know exactly what the anklets mean and have done throughout history. |

I’m using common sense and life experience, yes.
Pipe down and lose the tone. It’s common sense to say that 99% of people aren’t swingers, therefore 99% of people who wear anklets have no idea of the connotations.

I have written an anklet scan app. You can just hold your phone innocently enough, looking like you're texting, but you tilt it discreetly down a bit and it will scan the anklet, and any symbols on it. It then will check in its database against known symbols or letters, and tell you if you have spotted a swinger.
There can be occasional false positives of the Heather Wilson type, but it has a 97% success rate so far.
The database gets a monthly update, and has a French and German add-on pack. |

It can't tell you if you've spotted a swinger.
The most it can do is tell you that the anklet has symbols on it that are often associated with swinging. |
