Lovely place
Take plenty of Euro's - it ain't cheap !
How long you there for ?
If it's over a weekend, take the ferry to Tallinn - it's lovely their too and miles cheaper for hotels and eating out and drinks
The ferry only takes just over an hour |

Been to Iceland but not Helsinki.
Coldest airport ever! Had a layover there once also and it's was horrible trying to keep warm but really wanted to sleep. Wish I'd had company. |

I went to Helsinki many years ago, and it is a lovely but very expensive place.
Amongst the many memorable things of the place from the buildings, the clubs, the girls I'll never forget the guided coach trip which when passing the frozen harbour pointed out some little wooden platforms by the side of the quay and saying that in the spring the menfolk of Helsinki love to bring their carpets to the harbour and scrub them clean!!!!  |
