"Are people not allowed to decide who they chat to then?
Rule of thumb though if it happens more then twice its most likley you or something you said. "
I’m not sure it’s necessarily that. Creating any sort of connection without meeting up is really difficult. A new text friend is super fun for a couple of weeks and if you don’t then meet I think it fizzles and usually someone else has taken their fancy. I’ve both done it and been on the receiving end of it. Generally it’s no issue. People come and go. Anyone I may chat to here doesn’t owe me anything and vice versa.
As a strategy though it’s not great. But it is very hard to say “I don’t want to talk to you anymore”.
You can’t sweat it though. Things are not always as they seem here.

It's happened to us. Once we know the guy lost his nerve, another time we know that it was something I said. The other times we were mystified. People find it easier to cut contact than say they don't want to continue talking. |

"Days, weeks of chat, giggles then boom, your blocked, this is happening to often now since lockdown, gets on my bloody nerves "
It's happened to me once and I've literally no idea why I got blocked. It's a shame when you think it's going somewhere. |
