The NHS is not preaching to the general public. People are being encouraged to loose weight for health reasons and because people who are obese or overweight are at higher risk of being hospitalised or dying from Covid 19. |

And, believe it or not, working silly hours can make it hard to cook healthily. Being tired makes people crave bad food choices.
And dealing with the sorts of things they deal with can cause problems that lead to comfort eating.
I have a friend (not overweight) who had to quit being a paramedic because of PTSD. Look to yourself before you judge others. |

I have learnt to keep a weekly eye on the scales, If my weight starts to creep I reduce my sugar and fat intake and move more. It is one of those simple things to learn by the time you are an adult. Unfortunately many people live their lives treating food like kids in sweet shops. One must be strong enough to control our inbuilt sugar addiction. |

Wow.. It's not preaching.. It's health infomation. What about the staff that only have time to grab something quick between 14 hour shifts, not usually many healthy, quick, filling options with 10 mins to spare.
I'm sure they'd love time to prep decent meals or the energy for that matter, it's brutal what nurses, doctors, surgeons, mental health teams do for us on rubbish wages, how about being disgusted with the way our care staff are treated. |

Yeah, and they should stop treating the general public until all their staff are healthy. |

Working for the NHS doesn't exclude you from the general public. Take the advice or leave it no need to get upset about it. |
