"Do you scuba dive yes or no preferably in the UK "

Pre-lockdown was out west coast of Scotland most weekends.

Weather (x2) and Covid have prevented me doing scraps over last couple of years.

I haven't dived for a few years and never in the UK.

I prefer clear tropical waters, stunning coral reefs and diverse species.

I trained as a BSAC sports diver in the UK and have dived around the world, I personally think UK diving is the most challenging and best I have done.

Done all our training in the uk but have dived all over the world. Some of the best was in the Maldives. We knew the dive centre well and had some of the best dive sites in the area to ourselves.

It is a totally amazing experience isn't it. When I did my PADI advanced dive course in Mozambique we got to snorkel with whale sharks on the way to and from almost every dive site.

Trained in the Maldives, it’s what hooked us.

Red Sea was good, however L had been playing with the bananas and the thrush was a little stingy in the salt water.

Never sat so long naked in the sun with my dick in a pot of yoghurt.

Strange tan line.

You've never been to Raja Ampat then...

I've dove in the UK and it is good, but for me, jumping into 28 deg c water with 25 plus meters vis and a coral reef is hard to beat. Last time I dove the UK it was 7 deg C but the vis was a pretty good 10-15 meters. Last time I dove in Raja Ampat I was swimming with 50 odd Manta Rays feeding on the surface and at cleaning stations.

I've heard good things about the diving in Madagascar as well, Had similar in Raja Ampat in January/February but with Mantas and whales. On the day we spotted the whales we were out on the boat an extra 2 hours following them as the dive staff were as excited to see them as we were.

"I found the sea too cold in Egypt, there's no chance of you getting me in any seas in the uk!"

When were you in Egypt, I went in August and it was far too hot above the water, water temps were around the 25 deg c mark. The dive guides said they went into dry suits from about October. Anyone that dives the UK without a dry suit is probably a bit of a masochist

Is it still acceptable to clean your mask with spit ? The girls think I’m bonkers when I do this on holiday but it’s the best way

We certified at Hedonism in Jamaica, as diving is free there...dive by day, party by night.

It was certainly interesting doing the initial pool section of the course, while naked bodies were surrounding us......

After qualifying the instructor asked if we were OK having that resort noted on the paperwork....hell yes

Once certified it’s allowed to naked scuba if you are so inclined......personally we don’t, as a hanging cock looks like bait to a barracuda or shark....

Most people are using baby shampoo these days, can't beat a bit of spit to keep your mask clear though.

You should see the girls looks when I have a slight blocked nose and snort sea water prior to the dive to clear it...

Two Italian divers told me to do it in the red sea, at first I thought they were pulling my leg, but it works, it's not pretty mind... You can do it mid dive whilst underwater too, never tried that lol

yet on a dive, it doesnt bother me at all.

on the deep dives though, is it a long way down, or a long way up?

Advanced open water PADI certified diver saying hi!

I have dived on 4 occasions in the U.K. but enjoy warm clear waters in foreign countries far more where there is an abundance of colourful reef fish.

Sadly it has been way too long since I went diving, over 3 years now, so I will have to take a short refresher dive course before I am able to do so again in the open ocean.

Won't be planning any diving holidays until covid-19 is fully under control. So who knows when I will next be enjoying the underwater world.
