We were delighted when Channel 4 wanted to use our club to give the world a real insight into the swinging lifestyle. I’m watching it. Really hope it does show the club and scene in a good light. That said the documentary you were in before (it was you wasn’t it or have I remembered that wrong?) wasn’t Too bad at all. (Real life wife swap - Netflix)

Will definitely watch it.
We was both apprehensive about swinging until we visited a club.
It is not seedy at all.
In fact it is very sexy,erotic and friendly. |

We agree that people's misconceptions are exactly how you've described. People think you walk through the door into an instant mass orgy with naked bodies everywhere. That's really not the truth (though that could be fun ) |

I'll be jumping up and down shouting out the names of everybody and feeling nostalgic.

They have promised us that they have only shown the scene in a good light and this is something we stressed when we were first approached. We said we wouldn't take part if it was made to look seedy. Hopefully see you in December! The club will look totally different to the documentary by that time x |

Just to put everyone's minds at rest....there are no masks involved and Channel 4 made it very clear to everyone taking part that they only wanted people who would be seen without a mask as they felt it would make it look seedy. They also made us a promise that they would only put the scene in a good light as they wanted to try and eliminate some of the stigma involved. They will be showing that the scene is made up of normal everyday people from all walks of life. Unfortunately the people involved are not able to view it before it's aired and out of several weeks of filming they only take the 47 minutes that they want so it will be as much a surprise to us as to you guys x |

Ultimately the producers first write an entertaining story and then instruct people what to capture where possible, human angles and themes then sit with an editor and use all the footage to recreate the story, that’s how C4 documentaries work , it’s formula. As long as they are honest about the story they wrote it will be fine. It’s pseudo entertainment not real documentary |

You are very brave.
Whatever you agreed, if you sign over editorial control to the TV company they can make it look however they want.
TV, or at least UK TV, is incapable of making proper balanced documentaries about certain things in my experience - Naturism and almost anything to do with sex are right at the top of the list.
I am yet to be proved wrong on this but fingers crossed... |

There's nothing pseudo about the stories they have followed, they are genuine people who have given interviews and allowed C4 to film them in their home and workplace before following their nightlife. Obviously we cannot comment on the editing so can only hope they have done as they said they would and kept it real but we will find this out on Monday night |

I’m really looking forward to watching this, libs was how I got into the scene 15 years ago. I lived in the area and people talked about that adult club down the road so I convinced a male friend of mine to take me and that was how my journey into this lifestyle started. I hope it’s represented well. |

Oooh. I think we (on our couple profile) were asked to participate in this documentary last year. We declined as we are not open about this side of our relationship and want to keep it that way! Lol.

As much a I love clubs and this country, the problem is the general public are generally prudish when it comes to sex, still in the UK.
I suppose keeping the moral high ground and high standards to set examples for the next generation is the thing.
I find things are the same as 40 years ago.
It's all happening underground or secretly. Whereas Denmark, Sweden, Holland, France and Spain even Germany are more relaxed about sex and swinging.
Will it ever change here? Probably not.
Hope your Club gets lots of business from the documentary to make up for the tough times now.

Awesome, we are looking forward to it, thanks for the timing! We sent a couple of messages back and forth with the producers, pointing out the things in the last C4 swinging series that were horribly inaccurate, as well as a few other points of note and they were received constructively and politely, so we have some hope for this one! |

As a member of Libs for over 7 years I hope Channel 4 gives an honest view of the lifestyle and club. Having said that, it is TV, and I won't be surprised if they portrait swingers as deviant and peverted.

I’ve never been to a club but I think the staff and owner all came across really well.
It’s a shame the clientele don’t all clean up after themselves, lazy sods.

Just wanted to congratulate you on the buffet. It was a lovely spread. Also, a big well done to the lady who was doing the washing and had to fish a used Jonny out of one of the towels. I sometimes moan about my job but at least I don't have to handle 200 different strangers cum on a daily basis. |

Never been there but looks like a nice club.
Me and hubby had a few questions...
It was valentines night, but it looked quite empty for a big night in the swinging calendar. Was it busy but you had to section people away who didn't want to be filmed?
We go to a big club in Devon and I couldn't imagine trying to have fun with a camera crew about!
Or, was it advertised as a filmed night so only turn up if happy to be filmed, hence the slight quietness? |

From reading another thread it seems it was filmed on a Sunday and everyone there had agreed to be filmed. Unfortunately storm Dennis hit and a lot of local roads were flooded so it was quieter than expected. |

Libs was our first, and only, club that we visited. Had some great weekends there but haven’t been for a few years. We are definitely going to get back there when it reopens and look forward to more great evenings with great people.
I thought the staff and the couples gave a great account of themselves and think that this will do wonders for new memberships. Well done Libs xx |

Nice decent club, have enjoyed some memorable times there.The documentary was a fair reflection for newbies who would consider going to a club for the first time. We would recommend going on a themed night as it's always busier. |

I enjoyed the episode, made me miss clubs ALOT.
Didn't matter that it wasn't a busy night, everyone there looked like they were having fun in any way they wanted. I think it showed a well rounded view of swinging, eg the keen couple who didn't quite get what they wanted. The couple who liked another couple but they only played with women and didn't settle for that.
In my experiences with swinging,as a couple and a single person, I have had nights like that and can relate. Lol. |

It’s made me excited to go to a club as a single  The owner, John was it?, was endearing and lovely. I loved his attitude to the lifestyle and his members. I’d love to go someday. I wish you lots of luck for the future in these difficult times  "
I can assure you 95% of those who go to clubs DO clean up after themselves. Maybe in the moment of passion one may miss the bin or forget to pick up their towels but in my experience most people are very good about tidying up after themselves. |

I thought that this was a unbiased view of clubs in general instead of the usual warped view of the lifestyle. I've never been that far south to a club but the owner and staff showed that this isn't a shady world but one which was respectful.
The clubs I've been in are all nice places and the people in general are respectful to others which the program captured well. As always you never attend a club expecting sex but the social as well as sexual aspect of the scene is great for me. Well done liberty elite. |

I told a few of my none swinging girl friends to watch it on catch up and they are now thinking of joining fab and dipping their toe in channel 4 did a good job I thought. Whilst it was sexy and exciting, it showed lots of different sides of swinging, the human, vulnerable side especially. Hope they do another one! |

OP, I must say your club looks very nice.
As for Channel 4, I think it was a very good representation of the life style. The two couples the program focused on were very good examples of different approach's to an evening at a club. |

I thought it was very mid leading to what a real night is like at the venue and know of people who were watching with a view to trying a club for the first time and have now been put off...,,
By no means a slate about the club just felt that it was a in realistic view of how busy real events can actually be!
Also they wouldn’t of had the play equipment out on a swing event so why show it. |

I thought the program was well made not too sure about the comment 200 swingers clubs in the UK maybe if you throw in private house parties it may get to that level but actual clubs I am not so sure.I thought Libertyelite looks like a nice spacious club although it seemed to be in the middle of nowhere no other business next to it which maybe is a good thing no one to watch you going in and making comments. |

We never go to clubs with the view to play we enjoy the social side of clubs and if we dont play we will still have had a nice evening. I first went when I was 22 (15 years ago) and it was John then but Colin and Gina managed it and it was a fantastic club. It took a nose dive after they left but has improved again in recent years |

She did so well to pull it back together and play with her husband in the playroom next to those couples who rejected them. You can't be everyone's cup of tea, and have to take these things on the chin even though these things knock your confidence.
She didn't even think for a second that it may be because of her husband bless her, her low self esteem made her think it was her. Glad they had a good night in the end play in a club is a bonus, go and soak up the atmosphere and let it effect the sex you have afterwards |

It was a very quiet night as it was a specially arranged one for the programme on a Sunday evening after Valentines in the middle of a storm. I guess that a lot of the people approached (including us) decided they didn’t want to do it and be shown therefore it turned out quiet.
And I imagine being followed by cameras during your first night in a club when you’re naked and expecting to have sex with people on camera might make you feel a little nervous and uncomfortable!
