Party Poopers!

Why is it so hard to organise a party on here?

Some friends of ours are holding a house party at the weekend but are rightly disappointed by the poor response.

O.K its a fetish party which we know has limited appeal.

However, because of that fact you'd think the people into it, who have been contacted on those grounds, would jump at the chance of a like minded get together.

Instead they start back pedaling and giving excuses why they can't attend.

You'd think the invite was from Fred and Rose West ffs!

All the people contacted had Adult Parties as an interest and were into fetish play to some degree.

The ironic thing is that some also had "Fed up of no meets", "Sick of time wasters", "Are there any genuine swingers on here?" on their profiles, lol.

The party is nothing heavy,just spanking,bondage,blindfolds etc,oh and sex,lol.

Our friends have been holding parties for some time now and never had any problems organising them on paying sites.

Perhaps its true what others are saying and we didn't believe until now, there are a Hell of a lot of timewasters on here!

Rant over!

"Yep, sadly these places are poluted with timewasters!

It's just like real life then!

Just because people don't want to go to this party doesn't mean they are timewasters, it just means they can choose where THEY want to go to!

Surely you could only say they wasted someone's time if they had said yes then didn't bother to turn up without letting the organisers know? And not call them timewasters before the party has even happened!

It’s not compulsory to go to a party just because you have them listed as an interest and people do have lives away from swinging.

Just my tuppence worth into a debate on so called timewasters that will go on and on for the rest of time in the swinging world!

Yes we agree that its their choice.

However these contacts ticked all the boxes, said things on their profiles like "up for a party" "you won't be disappointed" etc.

Then they get an invitation to something that seems just their thing,

they reply to the invite, asking a string of questions to which they recieve a reply with all the answers......then nothing!

No "thanks but in retrospect its maybe not our thing afterall" just no response.

In some cases the reply was just deleted??

The couple holding the party are very busy people and have better things to do than sit up into the small hours mailing folk who talk the talk but don't walk the walk.

Hi M.R,

the couple in question thought vanilla parties could get a bit 'samey' so decided to cater for a niche interest,of which there seemed quite a few on the site "according to their profiles" but therein lies the rub.

It seems some folk will tick every box on the interest list without really knowing what half of it is.

Then when they mail for details and have things explained to them they run and hide.

Sorry if I seem to have gone off on one here but if only people would be upfront and honest,it'd save a lot of bother.

Sorry to be so blunt again - but maybe they didnt like the answers they got and again just because they 'tick all the boxes' on their profile still doesnt mean it is compulsory that they have to say yes to the organiser's invite (they didn't ask to go to the party - the organiser contacted them first) or even reply at all to the mail the organiser sends, yes it is good manners to send a reply but not everyone has the time to reply to all mail they receive.

You even say the organisers are too busy and have better things to do than mail people so maybe the invited folk feel the same??

Again just my tuppence worth and no offence meant!

Comes down to common decency, manners and social etiquette, or the lack of it!!

Sadly, all 3 are often conspicuous by their absence on these sites!

Just my tuppence worth!

Travelling

Arranging a party is a lot of work. We have been hosting swingers parties now for over 5 years! Our first party we managed to get 11 couples come along, all but one of them people that we knew already. Over the years there has been a slow but steady increase in numbers, and now we tend to end up politely letting people know that we are already fully booked before the next party comes round.

A lot of our new guests come along because our parties are recommended to them personally by someone that has been before. Remember, for most people meeting a new couple is quite a big thing, so imagine the idea of meeting lots of new people all at once!

Start small with people that you know, and do it again 3 months later.... and then again... and again.... over a year you will build up a regular core group and a reputation. Think of it as an investment in time and effort, it really does work.

We've been invited to a party, but disappointly already have a meet planned and confirmed for the party date.

That could be one reason why people have to turn an invite down ?

(were dying to go to a fetish party as well and would love an invite to one )
