I've always been discerning in that department but experience has made me very selective. I know what traits I find sexy in a woman and if I don't sense them looks won't compensate if I'm not feelings the sex appeal. |

What are these "standards"people love to virtual signal about?
I prefer tall, intelligent, alpha males who are sexually submissive. Doesn't mean I think my standards are higher to those with different preferences to mine.

When you say set the bar higher you are probably missing out on some people are way better than you think.
My age limits have gone up as I find a lady 40+ is way better than one at 20 in my mixed experience |

I suspect this is a more nuanced conversation than it appears at first. Or it may not!
I read it as "there are specific things you look for in the person / people you meet with and nowadays you are more strict about making sure they are there". Not saying that it's necessarily about the "quality" or otherwise of the person.
In contract to an approach of "fuck it - a meet is a meet and I will take anything. As long as there's a pulse I'll 'ave it" |

I had a couple message me but their profile was clear they disliked fat folk.... they seemed to think I should be flattered that they would make an allowance for wee fat me
Now I totally agree that physical attraction is important and tastes can change but there is no need to be shallow

Definitely getting more selective a d meeting fewer people as time passes. Although I'm much less interested in physical appearances these days. If experience had taught me anything it's that its the mental connection you make with your potential lover that dictates the quality of the meet..... If you share interests and passions, and really get inside each other's heads, then attraction goes through roof.
When you connect with someone on as many levels as possible the sexual intensity is amazing! |

I have found a preferential age group which I state on my bio but I keep my filters open to younger as sometimes a rare gem finds their way to me.

Yes, we have a threshold, more type of person than looks tbh. Greatest body in the world and looks to match but if we ain't socially compatible it ain't gon a happen. Those pause moments with non repeaters can be excruciating. |

We don’t have ‘standards’ as such. We use the filters on Fab to guide us to people we generally find attractive - sometimes when we meet them we are attracted, sometimes not so much. Our main reason for going to Clubs is we have found that people tend to be a lot sexier than Profiles  we find that humour, a sexy smile, a glint in an eye or just animal magnetism works better face to face. So longing for Club nights again  |
