Okay, I fully appreciate and understand the frustration people on here have when (mainly us blokes) open a message with the likes of..
Hi, how are you?
Or
Hi, hope you are well?
But I can't for the life of me think about how not to open the message with something similar.
I'd you start with details about yourself that send for too direct.
Any clues, assistance, comments on what are good openers? |

First message received, you read a ‘hi how are you doing’ almost immediately I’d look at the profile, if that’s lacking in photos and/or content so basically not attractive at all.
Why bother replying, just like many others I’ll check in stealth so you’ll never know it’s more about the profile than the message.

As a woman I hate recieving the "How are you" or even worse "wanna meet" my ultimate hate is "Hows Use" that's an instant block lol.
The problem on fab is many guys don't seem to know how to talk wo women. The best way to open up dialogue is to comment on why you are sending a message. That way a woman knows the man has taken time to read her profile and what he finds attractive about it.

I find that most women wont reply even if you put a joke or some witty remark in the message i go with hi & then mention something they like if i xant find anything i turn to comedy or i ask if they know the name of schrodingers cat lol |

As per our profile we reply to all messages as it’s as far as we are concerned polite but a message with no content will just get a reply with no content.
Personally I’d read the profile and go from there.

Major top on opening messages... don't start off with " What's the huge scar?".
I had this sent to me on Sunday and was enraged by total lack of compassion or consideration.
For those now curious I will explain it was reconstruction after cancer but this is me offering the information openly and I am open and ok to chat about it. As an opening line though from a random I was uncomfortable.
It took a lot for me to post the image and says a lot about where I am confidence wise now.
You wouldn't approach someone in a bar/ cafe, beach wherever and ask such rubbish.
Messages I like are ones where the person tried to stand out but not overly so. And I know you boys are proud of your genitalia but if we want to see we will ask. |

I've had four messages from the same person now (over a couple of weeks).
Each of them have simply said "Hi" or "how are you doing?".
If they wish to connect with me, they really need to put some effort into starting a conversation. I'm not going to do it for them.
Just a brief comment on something in my profile would get the ball rolling, I don't expect War and Peace!

Think you will find its not in your opening line as already been said and mentioned a lot on these forums its the profile and your quality of pics first thing I do is look at the profile if there is no effort and vile cock pics shoved in my face its instant block x |
