Bought my wife a leather collar lately but it's leaving her neck all red after wearing it as its still quite stiff. Are there any tips or trick to soften the leather?
I have got leather softener for boots so I assume this would work but be interested to hear any suggestions from people. |

"Buy some soft fur/wool material from the local textile store and stick it around the inside to stop the chaffing.
Then enjoy the fun "

Watching with interest as we have the same issue. Considered wrapping in a cotton sheet and bashing with a rolling pin a few times to tenderise it at little. I've tried working it for a little bit, but think it would take hours before it's a bit more supple. Just needs wearing we guess |

"Buy a more expensive one.
Mine is super soft!! "
This.
I ordered a hand made one for Babygirl from Canada. The leather is soft but strong and its fur lined.
Comfortable for her to wear for a prolonged about of time and strong enough to really throttle her with |

have the same problems with new horse tack. It does soften with use but there are lots of cleaners and conditioners out there that work. Try effax leather soft as it works well and smells nice too. |
