So...i have a pretty severe cervical scoliosis that gives me the neck of a bent double old man. You cant really tell from my photos because its so high upnand i blur my face but side on it is very noticble.
Im at a point in life where, for the first time, it is making me self conscious. Lack of success with women over the last 10 years of being single makes me think this is a major reason for getting rejectes so much. My question is - can you tell from my profile?! and if not, to what extent should i tell someone about it before we meet (assuming anyone ever wants to!) x |

No, in answer to your question. From your profile pics its not visible that you have scoliosis. But because you've disclosed this, I can notice slight different formation to your right side (reverse of your mirror image).
I'd say fairly early on to disclose your condition to someone you are going to meet.
Have you ever been offered surgery to reduce/improve the scoliosis?
I knew 2 ladies who has this. 1 of them was severely affected, she is wheelchair bound.
The other, she was fairly young but as part of her physio to improve her tone, she went horseriding (riding for the disabled specialist livery/riding school.

Well ain't you the unfortunate one as it's not common in guys.
Mildred has scoliosis 2curves large between shoulder blades one small at base of spine.
She still walks ect but has pains.
Some times we have to stop playing if she gets to uncomfortable.
She is conscious of it when at clubs and nude beaches but Being a woman nobody notices this as they are too busy looking at other parts of her body.

Unfortunately my curve is quite dangerous to operate on and theyd would have to fuse my neck if they did - meaning no more turning or nodding my head! They monitor it annually etc...
Ye my right side is a but shrunken and the rib cage pulled round a bit. When you know what to look for you see it in my profile.
If anyone does ever arrange a meet from here i guess i would have to point it out in advance. Sucks! |

I was born with torticolis and had an operation at 8 years old to help relax the muscle. It wasnt a brilliant success but better than nothing. All through my childhood I was very paranoid about the slight tilt of my head. Even in my teens and early 20s. Tbh most people didnt even realise and thought it was just the way I was looking at them. Now it doesnt bother me one little bit. After 50 years I've learnt to live with it. It's your choice if and when you tell someone about your scoliosis but I can guarantee it's probably bothering you more than it will them  |

Thanks for sharing that. I had to google torticolis. Im glad youve made peace with it - i kind of have too but its the way ive been rejected in the past that makes me think it must be the route of at least some of this. I have the rest of my life together and am a confident person in general. |

I dont think for 1 minute anybody would be put off by your condition. As I said previously it's probably bothering you more than them. Trust me you will find happiness and one day realise it's part of you and nothing you can do about it. It's the person that's more attractive. Good luck xxxx |
