The time has come where I can no longer ignore my Covid stone!
Can’t help but notice some of you guys and girls are in wonderful shape, any tips & tricks you could share for slimming down & toning up (especially arms) would be very well received! Back at the gym now so do have access to equipment. |

You can’t really ‘tone’ certain areas as such, but the main thing to lose weight is eating less than your TDEE (look it up, theres calculators online). As long as you eat less than that, and work out, you’ll do great! And pleaseeeee ignore these fad diets/weight loss tea’s they drive me up the wall!
Hope this helps X |

What I do is to train at home. I train 3 times a week. I eat in a slight calorie deficit and I track the calories using a fun app called mynetdiary, remember that the amount of time to achieve your desired result is different for everyone, also there is no stubburn belly fat it means that a person just have to diet for a longer period of time one more tip, there are no diet shortcuts as it is not sustainable in the long run, slow progress is the key |

Simple...reduce carbs, increase protein...1g per 1lb is WAY OFF by the way train large body parts...legs,back and chest.
MAIN exercises for those...
Squats not friggin running for legs unless you want saggy body parts, including face!
Wide grip thumbless weighted chins..to the chest
Free weight bench presses, not those blasted machines,in fact free weights for everything...uses more muscles and is harder.
Start the day with 1 pint of COLD water...over 1 year it'll equal approx 5000 cals being burnt off,,approx 1lb of fat just through drinking cold water

Several years ago ... I lost 6st on what I called the ‘no shit diet’
As in, don’t eat shit, don’t drink shit, and do shit loads of exercise!
Do you really need to be told what is shit food and what you should avoid???
- junk food
- processed food
- Carbs
- sugary rubbish
Do you really need to be told what is shit to drink and what you should avoid?
- Frothy Coffees
- Beer / Lager
- Sugary fizzy drinks
Do shit loads of exercise...
- Walking
- Cycling
- Swimming (my love MTB/RB and spinning)
- Gym
..... whatever you enjoy doing - don’t do something you find a chore - you will never stick with it!
You don’t need to pay me £10 a week neither to tell you you’ve lost weight!!
Good luck xxx |

I tend to avoid the carbs most of the time now, and very very careful when I do.... doesn’t do me any harm and soooo used to not having them now.

I've done 3 or is it 4 months of low calorie and exercise using mynetdiary and exercise apps. Plateaued 2 pounds short of my target (lost 15 pounds). I've started keto 2 days ago for the final stretch. Not sure about keto yet but it's early days and I've not done it before. One thing I found is that I have less energy for exercise now. |

The only chest exercise you need to do is push ups, it builds the whole chest, do some variations and to make it harder do it with time under tension with 4 seconds reps, it is alot harder and actually gives better results than the bench press |

So not true, bench press is king for chest. |

It all depends on your goals. If you want to get ripped i find calisthenics is better. Even weighted calisthenics or as above press up variations.
If you are after pure size then bench press is better.
Also callisthenics will likely make you fitter because the cardio element is way more challenging |
