Controversial question, but I have my suspicion that many fabbers stretch the truth a bit, actually some quite alot when it comes to disclosing their ages..
Anyone else agree? |

Mine is correct but I know of many that aren't. Taking a couple of years off is understandable but I know of at least one person who has taken 10 years off. |

Mine is accurate. I once had a meet with a guy who claimed he was 50, posted pics of himself that looked relative to his age and then we met... he was actually 72. WHY???? WHY do that??? He wasn't anything close to resembling his pix I walked out. |

Ours are spot on but on a thread a few months ago a chap who stated on his profile that he was 59 admitted to being 85 and he looked it bless him.
Age is just a number!!!!!
I’m 56 (I think) but I act and move like a 90 year old.

My age on my profile is my actual age.
I get so many messages from men who claim to be younger than they generally are, its obvious fron their photos that they're lying. Its an instant red flag for me - if they can't be honest about a simple thing like their age, then how can I trust them to be honest about anything else. No trust = no meet.

Mine is correct.
I can understand why some blokes might shave a year or 2 off to get around filters, but come on, you aren't gonna get away with many more than that! |

Mine is correct, no point in lying. If someone can't remember their date of birth when they sign up, what else they might not be truthful about? Also, I don't see a point of people trying to change their date of birth to fit with others' age range.
I do understand the discretion reason but that should not be a huge discrepancy from the actual age. |

alot on here are not correct most days i get them had one who said hes 46 i ask him to tell the truth he said 52 but little did he know ive spoke to him in a club environment where hes boosted hes 68 and how good he looked he looks like a very fit 60s ++ but its also happening at the lower scale young guys 18/19 claiming to be mid 20s ... its desperation and its not sexy |

Mine is correct but I do have my suspicions about some others I've come across. I don't see the point in lying about it, if you meet up and the difference in real/Fab age is large then it's going to be obvious. If it's small and not really noticable then why lie about it in the first place?
I've always said that age is just a number, why are we so hung up on it? If there's an attraction between two (or more) people then it shouldn't matter. |

I’m accurate with mine.
I have seen some women that have put their age 20 years younger than they actually are!
All down to personal reasons I suppose-if you can pass for 20 years younger-fine.

"We don't use our exact date of birth but the year's right. After a certain age arms, neck and hands give it away so lying just makes you look silly"
Same here, DoB isn't exact but only by a few weeks.
Thanks to all for the birthday wishes I got though all the same! It was a big one! |

Mine is accurate to the day and I wish it wasn't! I know that the mantra is 'age is just a number' but it seems that, if high, it puts a lot of folk off - unless they want a 'daddy' or 'auntie'. People are, generally, naturally ageist despite protestations they are not. |

Mines exactly right and since my birthday, I've notice a significant drop in views. It doesn't bother me, in fact it cuts down the admin, but I can see why some people would be tempted to bend the truth, to get around filters. |

If I want you to know then I'll tell you its that simple.
Nothing on my profile is actually 100% because that's how I chose to do this.
Anyone Im interested in or speaking to with a view to meeting would take the time to get to know me. Within that time I'd tell you. I've no intention of being deceitful or misleading to anyone.
I only ever meet for a coffee these days. With people who are not travelling far. So there's plenty of bale out time for all involved.

My age is accurate. A LOT of people lie about their age on here. Some can get away with it and some most definitely can't.
There are a couple of people I've met in the past who were a few years older 5 years ago than they are now |

I think that there's quite a lot of people on here who lie about their age but in the end if they look good and you make a connection it shouldn't matter |

What’s the point in not telling your real age if you do meet it would be a bit obvious
But is it any different to size now that is a minefield
Perhaps with membership you should get a a cut out of each size like that game bring on the wall !! |

Why lie?! Have seen lots of guys saying they are younger than they are though... Had one bloke make another, younger, profile so he could message me, when my age preference was set too |

I’m 50 and proud of it , but I know others who lie about there’s , don’t see the point , why take ten years of your age , you will get found out one way or the other |

Ours are correct. What’s the point otherwise. We think we look good and are fun to be with. No point not being honest. If we interest you then that’s great. If we are ‘too old’ for you then that’s fine too. |

I remember that thread and if I recall correctly, he couldn’t see anything wrong with it!
Our ages are correct on our profile. What’s the point of lying? We met a couple once who was in their early 40s. Invited to their house to play and there were 50th birthday cards on the mantle piece. Knocking off about 5 years is reasonably ok, but 26 years, as above, is pushing it! |

IMO...us guy's normally look our age unless you have great genetics.
It's some of the ladies that can get away with pretending to be younger than they are
I met a lady back in Kent and would have sworn she was late 20s, she was actually 41 |

Ours are spot on.
About 15 years ago we went to meet a couple that were called somethingcpl40s thinking they were in their 40s (like their pics showed)
I actually think they were born in the 40s and hadn't worn well.
We swore then that we would always tell the truth. |

I have the same issue sometimes. I don’t lie about my age, nor anything related to my profile, and don’t know why they do it.
I have reported teenagers under age along the years.
Some individuals have pictures quite explicit about their age, but you see a huge gap between the picture’s age and the profile’s age.
I normally ask several times about the age if it’s really an issue for me. If not sure I say goodbye and move on.
I don’t have a clue what’s in their mind to do so.
I remember a woman who had a difference of 10 years with her profile. She told me she didn’t “update” the age
But yeah, you can stop thinking about it... |
