Does Swinging lifestyle reduce the chances of your partner cheating on you?

As I often see in the media, celebrities cheating etc. then I think to myself, if they were swingers, would they still have this issue and remain in a happy relationship?

Personally I would say no, as I have had bad experiences after meeting some couples and the guy then messages wanting to meet alone... Not on at all

It does for us but not for everyone. We've met couples where the man subsequently messaged us privately afterwards for a secret meet.

Cheating is the break in trust, not the act of having sex outside of your relationship.

Swingers who are dishonest with their partner can still be cheaters the same as someone in a monogamous relationship.

A lot of these celebrity couples seem to get off on the thrill of the drama and the danger of being caught. If they were swinging it would be just as toxic.

I guess you never really know. Now I get to experience all the things I want and get the excitement I craved but with my hubby's consent and it's something we enjoy together. For me though I never wanted to be deceitful or hurt anyone so although I may have been tempted I don't think I ever would have had an affair.

For other people though this is still not enough and doing it behind someones back is part of the thrill x

Nope

I’ve met couples and once the female messaged me afterwards on here ..

Hubby found out and they disappeared..

And another couple the female found me on Facebook and kept messaging saying she didn’t find her hubby attractive anymore as he’d not aged as well as her and would I meet her alone.

Don’t believe the hype put out by many couples.. thingsAren’t as they seem..

Some couples are genuine though

Nope. In some cases it can increase the risk of partner cheating as they are in an environment to meet sexually liberated people.

When I was a single female on here I enjoyed meeting couples. But there was a handful of times when the guy from the couple asked to meet me without his wife/partner knowing. That is something I didn't ever want to do.

Given the number of "single" people and people with "permission" to play alone. (My quote marks are meant to show that I know there are genuinely single people and people with permission). I don't think swinging reduces the chances of cheating at all overall although it probably does in individual cases.

For us is t isn't a case of swing of fun the risk of cheating, swinging is something we enjoy because we do it together.

It’s got to depend on the individual surely? Some might be open enough to discuss their desires with their partner while others will take any opportunity to go behind their partners back,

Think you need to be in a very healthy trusting realationship to even consider swinging anyway, we were together 12 years before we considered it. Nowdays seems a lot of couples jump into swinging without exploring each other properly first thats when i think there is a risk of cheating. To be fair though all the years we have been on the scene we have acuumalated many friends and know lots of people and have only ever heard about 1 couple where the husband cheated . Swinging will enhance a strong relationship but destroy a weak one

There are two completely different proposals OP. Celebrities have their own issues and pressures, difficult to compare with the vast majority of us. In any case a celebrity would probably not want to risk swinging for obvious reasons.

As for the rest of us? We’re of the opinion that swinging is healthier than cheating

It's really rare for a male in a couple be allowed to play on their own. its on my bucket list to have a consented married man. Maybe it shouldn't be?

You can have anything you want on your bucket list. There are two types of partnered men with permission. The type that really do have permission and the type that don't. It's up to you how or if you verify which is which.
