Sometimes. Not always. We're a bit inconsistent. In hindsight we probably should have as people have forgotten they've messaged us previously and had another go 6 months later

It has been known, or I reply with sorry not for me and tell them I am blocking to prevent further messages

No.

We only block those who pester. The majority we politely say no to are absolutely fine so no need to block.

Does blocking stop people appearing in search results? As a guy I haven't felt any need to use the block button. Might do if it did prevent people turning up in search results however.

Really all depends on the profile, if we have a hunch it’s fake then yes.

It does , if someone is blocked they don’t come up in searches . It feels like a practical rather than personal act to block - for both parties

"do you block them after first message ?"

No. To me that is just rude. I only block if they are very vulgar or unkind to me.

I've not been blocked (yet) I believe lol, but I'm always polite and i may message again a few months later incase the last message was missed due to influx. But if no further reply I don't try again... It's always best to be polite!

Manners cost nothing.

I've started blocking people when I see their profile asking for things I can't supply like a BBC, bi threesome, 9"+, etc. because I just can't be bothered coming across their profile again as we don't match.

Absolutely no the wonder you seldom get a reply if you are blocking for not replying after a day, people have other things to do haha.

"do you block them after first message ?"

I find this behaviour frustrating as some days, I just have enough time to read but not to reply. Then I get blocked too quickly to reply back to

That's a problem for all message systems that show you the read status of the message, people see it's been read and expect you to reply instantly. You could mark them as unread on here though, if you don't have time to message that'll you'll chat later as busy...

I can do, if they clearly aren't what I am looking for, or I don't like the message / profile

"do you block them after first message ?"

I used to, but now I make notes. If I bump into them in real life at least I have an idea of why I won’t be interested.

You might still be able to mark you saved ones as unread. I guess you'll have to just look at it as, if they weren't patient enough to wait for a reply...

We tend to be discriminatory - if you're a bloke, with just a cockpic, who starts an email to us with 'Hiya hun' then being blocked is pretty much inevitable. We award extra block points to people who think 'How're yous' is acceptable in polite company.

We're here for fun, not to fend off fuckwits with the intellect and manners of the gutter. The block button is one way of preserving our time and space.

I have got used to being blocked now and that's just for polite hellos. I would understand more if I was vulgar and nasty but its just not me. So glad this site has given me a thick skin lol

Thanks for the reply. I think it might help on a practical level as you say. Prepared to be blocked people!

I get that & i have better things to do myself than wait around for replies off people who are just going to read & delete anyway so whats the point saves me alot of time & aggro

We do, if they are of no interest, don't match our looking for, rude by just addressing the fem, constantly on status asking / looking for meets, don't read our profile, or offering something on our not looking for list. Saves us time of not having to recheck profiles and replying again. Playtime is too short. Can't waist time chatting to profiles, we're never gonna meet.
