I don't see a lot of BDSM related topics on these forums so hopefully this doesn't put people off too much. Any submissives out there who enjoy being marked from spankings and other impact play and look at the souvenirs from a scene later?

I love leaving marks as reminders if during bdsm play - even better when you get sent pics of what you’ve done a few days later as they develop!

I used to love fingerprint bruises where a guy had gripped me tightly.
I had a Dom for a while who was a master at biting. He'd leave rows of bruises down my shoulders, right where my bra straps sat. Discussing BDSM in its self isn't an issue and is perfectly acceptable, However you have to be careful when discussing injuring people even when its Consensual.
Most threads like this go OK but you always get some people who discuss really graphic or illegal things.

Absolutely! I'm a total masochist with a high pain threshold and don't mark easily, but I love having marks after a session. On my single profile (I think it's hidden at the moment) I have an excellent photo of the marks left when I called a few friends over to give me a good spanking. The problem is that UK case law (R v Brown) came down against consensual marking inside a BDSM environment. Albeit I'd imagine that they judges may have been somewhat bias due to that particular case involving homosexual partners but alas it is still law. And it is states that you cannot legally consent to anything from actual bodily harm up. Whether bruises constitute abh type injuries is subjective. |

Lol. Pics of even quite slight marks disappear. The site censors them quite heavily.
Ironic since they list SM as an interest, but not the BD that wouldn’t leave the marks they so obviously disapprove of. |

Yes, I can see that the point about it becoming competitive and people trying to say "I can take more pain than you" is valid. I don't have a very high threshold for pain so I can't take nearly as much as I would mentally like. So when I find myself in some marks I become ridiculously happy and proud  |

I tried posting one of me laying on my front with an anal hook in that was linked by rope to my collar...you actually couldn’t see anything explicit as it was taken from my head down but it got rejected as being ‘too rude for this site’
On the subject of markings, yes I love the feeling of sitting down a day or two after a session and feeling that twinge of pain from a bruised bottom! My favourite markings I think came from a belt rather than anything out of the toy box! |

Im gutted that I seem to have magical skin that doesn't show heavy bruising and seems to heal all too quickly.
I love to see purpling and yellowing colours especially from big pressure bites rather than little nips and even more so if they come with balls of tissue damage underneath. Its delicious if they remain pokeable for days after to bring about thoughts of how they were earned.

This cant be stated enough. Too many people believe that consent is enough in the eyes of the law to allow intentional harm or that they have the right to a private life.
Sadly not only do you have to contend with R v Brown (operation spanner) and the offences against the person act but you also have to deal with the 'Common law police disclosure' guidance which replaced the 'notifiable occupations scheme'. This allows the police to pass information about someone to an employer, or regulatory body, where there is a perceived public protection risk.
This is why discretion and privacy for a lot of kinksters is of paramount importance.
