I’m sure many people out there are sick of fake profiles
Surely there has to be a way that could make sure people are who they claim.
Wether it’s some verification when joining, or some form of checks after.
It is hard enough being a single man on here but add to that people just assume the worst based upon constant disappointments.
I know there also some bell ends who just get abusive so for those there should be some block system and prevent them from just rejoining under another name.

Quite difficult to police particularly when people want some level of privacy or anonymity. But with smartphone access it's difficult to control. Current procedures in place on Fab can only act as indicators. A verified, site supporter with meet verifications can still mess you about unfortunately. |

That would explain a few things.
Both the wife and I attempted to create our own individual accounts tonight and both of them required individual photo verification (which we did) but it's taking forever to activate them.
I wasnt sure if it was because we used our home PC to activate both accounts or not. If they've changed the site rules..great. Get rid of the gawkers. |

Pic approvals can take a while sometimes, especially at this time of night when most folk are sleeping. |

Does the site track user IP addresses to prevent multiple accounts from same pc? Once I had an old single account which I lost details for and couldn't register a couples account. In the end I did the couples account via my phone instead. |

I tried using my phone earlier on and it just got stuck in the same registration place. Waited over an hour and just deleted and started again with the PC. Everyone has multiple devices these days just used wi fi these days so I hope it;s not an issue.
Will worry about it during more sociable hours anyway. No point worrying now. |

Agree. Not comfortable parting with too much information. If it came to this, we would leave. It is supposed to be fun. Sounds all a bit "big brother" to us. |

It has to be difficult and there does seem to be a thing like FAB versus actual
Plus in this is no criticism of anyone why are there so many size descriptions??
What does it matter surely you don’t purely judge on size?
It’s not like when meet for a dreaded social it’s going be

photo verification is great. I also look for people that have had genuine meets.
If they’ve been on +12 months with no meeting.....

People often reply saying ‘but I’m photo verified’ when I challenge potential catfish. They don’t seem to realise that doesn’t mean someone sits matching up your face with the original username one. That’s not how it works. |

I might be missing the point, but the green verification tick will prove whether it's a single guy, single girl, a couple, TV/TS etc etc. Nothing can prove someone is genuine unfortunately, not even in the real world. That will be down to your own intuition.
We have our filters set so no unverified people can message us. |

There are some great comments and the reality is that no matter what checks the site puts into place, those knobs who have such sad lives that they set up fake profiles will still get through
Unlike sites like Tinder, I have always hoped that the people who are truly respectful of the fab community should ultimately respect the reality of the site
We take the view that most profiles show a lack of effort and therefore suggests that the author is with fake or will not put effort in. Those who have put a great deal of effort in their wording or pictures, then we feel more reassured
Ultimately though, more often than not, we will want to do some kind of verification of our own. We are not offended when others wish to verify us, as we know their pain, and in the sex space trust is important, and if you can not trust from the outset it is not a great start
Provided both parties are genuine and can agree a simple way to verify EACH OTHER, then no offence should be taken. After all, if both are genuine, then there is nothing to hide
We like a simple face pic with say 2 fingers on the nose. Sounds silly, but unlikely to be a fake pic from the internet, and avoids those using old pics. No need to go off fab, as can always get a pic added to your profile and then send it out privately. So no need for kik etc.
Once we are comfortable that a person is genuine, then the foundation of trust has been built |

Upon examination, some intense questioning and armed with independent photos taken at the Assembly by the resident photographer the new Fabster is ready to embark on his/her new adventure ... making their way to the next room for speed meeting to develop chat technique and get the cherished first three verifications. All quite simple really ... |

I kind of like this idea, has elements of Solomon to it.
Ask the to do a video call, if they refuse deny access.
If they agree, just let them join without the call. |
