I believe it’s called ‘La petite mort’; the little death. My delicious FWB used to ‘suffer’ from it and it can be quite disturbing for a partner who hasn’t come across it before. Thankfully I had, once before. Anyway she used to get it quite bad. After a particularly intense orgasm she would in essence go unconscious, loose consciousness and ‘wake’ up between 3 to 5 mins later (sometimes it feels a lot longer), really dopey and content. If you’re not aware of it, it can be disconcerting and worrying; ‘God, what have I done!’

I’m sure Alex Comfort mentions it in tJoS. The advice is not to try and rouse the effected person and just make sure they’re safe and warm and able to breathe easily until they regain consciousness. I used to pad off and make her a cup of tea!
