Yes, on the booklist . Neither of us have got round to reading it yet. Millet's book is very earthy, and a reminder of how commonplace swinging is in most French regions. |

More towards the BDSM than swinging, but in our opinion the best erotic novel written... 'The story of O' under the pseudonym Pauline Reage. Anne Desclos the author was a journalist and French academician and it is exceptionally well written. |

Yeah, it's definitely up there.
I'd also vote for Delta of Venus by Anaïs Nin, though it's a collection of shorter pieces, not a novel. Some of it is downright disturbing, but other parts are beautifully written.
