I tell you what a straight guy feels when another guy hits on him: it's like a an attack on his manhood or let's say being forced to inhale secondary smoke when you actually have never smoked and you hate the stuff. It the same but that's all I got. Trying is not a problem but it's when you get explicit openers, it's wrong.
