Grainy pictures

Just wondering if anyone knows why once we have posted new pictures on profile some are grainy looking.

Some clear.

Original iPhone pictures Cristal clear.

Maybe they compress the pics to a lower quality?

If you view them as large they are in original resolution. Theres also a "Turn HD photos on " in account settings
