Firstly in answer to your question, No, it's not cheeky. Its necessary if you are considering bareback.
However, whether or not I would be considering it would depend on the details of the situation.
ie: is this someone you are planning on having casual meets with, and you are both still planning on meeting others?? If so, how can you (or they) be sure that it is only each other that you are playing bareback with??
Personally, for me.. it would only be something I would consider if actually getting into a relationship with someone ... and then only after we were both tested and then tested again after another 3 - 6 months.

No. It's very wise to be cautious.
Now let's say I have my tests next Friday and get the result the following Friday and it says im clean.
It only means i was clean at the moment of my tests on the Friday.

It is'nt cheeky of you at all but unless you're going to be joined at the hip from the moment the tests are taken to the moment you get the results its a bit pointless

If you value your sexual health and that of anyone you may have sex with then play safe and wear a condom. I used to work in the porn industry and we had to be tested every 30 days, but although I worked with others in the industry you still can't be 100% sure they don't have casual sex outside of porn. So I always insist on a guy wearing a condom as you can't tell by looking at someone if they have an std. Plus just one session of bareback sex can give you an std or worse.
Play safe it's the best way x x x We avoid any profile that says they do bareback sex. |

I would keep well clear.Bareback only with a partner you have been with for a while and you have both been tested at least twice AND you both trust each other.
As mentioned a test is only good for the day you took the test. As tempting as it might be to risk it, better safe than sorry |

if your that bothered about catching something that you would ask someone to take a test why would you want bare back in the first place? 
Personally i would never take a test because someone requested me to, i get myself tested regular for my own piece of mind and i wouldnt appreciate someone else asking me too

Bareback isnt the only way to get a dose, a persons or couple prospective next partner might not be into bareback and might have very strict rules about it..but what about the last person they got it on with and the person before that..and the people that those people met...its like the branches of a tree... |

Well asking someone to take a test is rather pointless isn't it. Would you really believe them if they said they had and were all clear.
You don't get a certificate from the GUM clinic which proudly states that '??? Visited us today and we can proudly announce that he is free from disease'.
It will take about 2-3 weeks for the results anyway. Are you going to sychronise your visit to the same clinic and then move into a locked room for 2 weeks to ensure no contamination before the big event.
Don't be daft, if you're worried about bareback wear a condom  |

@op I think it's being realistic to be honest, but don't forget there's a window with HIV tests with screening that could leave you exposed to risk. I'd go sheathed instead if I were you.
