Are Fab socials a go?

So we can meet with 6 people outdoors in England and different ratios in the rest of the UK. So would you meet with 2 other couples (or singles) in a park or somewhere outside for a social distance social? This would be just a social, which some just couldn't get a handle on in pre covid times. Maybe the meets and requests page should reopen in the Fab forum to facilitate this possibility.

We posted something similar last week, about changing the meets button. People are allowed to meet at a social distance, so it should be an option on here.

But we got shot down for it so said no more on the matter

The problem is that this is Fab...

Which means that in one minute people are saying hi at a distance and the other minute they're fucking on the floor like rabbits

Socially distanced socials. As long as you follow the rules (outside, 2m distance etc etc) can’t see why it would be a problem.

Well that's up to stupid people and they will be doing this anyway. We are on about the respectful people here who do care about others

Think the trouble has been all the while a number of people have been wanting meets which are against all the guidelines previous which has upset us all seeing these disrespectful people. Thought we might have been shot down too. Not saying we would do this but thought an adult discussion would be a good start. As we said some couldn't comprehend a social only meet before Covid which someone just made a comment about above. Guidelines still say keep meeting folk to a minimum and as short a time as possible. As the government keep saying a balance of isolation and mental health has to be addressed in a safe way

I saw this. They seem to be accepting people can socialise but wont open meets.

But the question is, will we get in trouble for asking for socials

Well if 5000 ppl can gather and walk through London .. then I can’t see what the problem is with having a 6 ppl picnic where you as individuals have control over distancing

In all honesty we cant see a problem with a 2m distance social, there can still be the flirty chat but none of the touching that's all

You won't get a warning for asking for a socially distant social.

I honestly don’t see an issue as long as rules are stuck to. Likewise I don’t see the harm in waiting either.

People have beeN openly asking for meets all the way through this virus, almost on a daily basis I see the same couple asking for meets for sex on my news feed.

That's great news for people knowing Fab will not give them a warning for this. As said, this is for all the respectful people of fab who really do care about others health as well as their own. Like someone said above, being able to meet out doors and control your social distancing is much better than daily life where its a constant battle to stay safe at work, supermarket and being in public on the street

There is nothing to stop you contacting your existing swinger friends and arranging social meets and holding them in a safe way. Why do you need to advertise it on Fab? the only reason could be to identify strangers and then you would be oversubscribed with people wanting to come many of whom might think the term social means something different to you. That would seem pointless to me .

I must stress that any meets need to be within govt guidelines which are explained in the thread I linked to

You might have been chatting with a fellow fab member for weeks or months and to make contact would help with mental health and isolation, its not just to put up a meet to go meet total strangers. We would say common sense is paramount with these relaxations of restrictions. Remember its the health of you and others.

I don't see a problem with it. A social can easily be done in accordance with social distancing guidelines.

Those who want to break rules will do so. From some of the messages I've been getting lately, people seem to think lockdown is over completely.

If Fab reinstated the Meet feature right now, it could send out the message that it's ok to meet and swing. It's easy enough to arrange a social without the "Meet today" feature

We would meet up with couples for a coffee in the park or something like that. We won't have the chance though until the kids are allowed to go to their grandparents house x

Sounds like they were agreeing with you. If you could meet someone safely in a open environment that would be fine. But advertising it publicly on here is going to attract the wrong crowd.

Unfortunately the majority can't be trusted so it's better to not give them the option.
