What is it with you people that wont send pictures because of your job?
Ok i understand privacy and respect it too but please keep in mind that you should only ask for what your willing to give!
Thats the last time i give my details to anyone without the agreement of getting them in return.
Some people on here must think they run the country their job is that high profile... get over yourselves and take your heads out of your backsides!!

as to OP, i had contact of a couple that said it, and on further digging, he was a plumber.
now, judging by what some threads about handymen have described,i would have thought he would be happy to get his face out there so he could get all the lonely housewives knowing him lol |

Its when im asked for so much detail and willingly (Stupidly?) giving it and them not returning that favour.
It takes a lot of trust and guts on this site to send personal details and you get some idiots who take advantage of those of us that are too bloody open lol |

I understand not having a public face pic, but there is no reason not to have a private one to send with messages. Surely if you are wanting to meet people they will have to see what they look like eventually.

I don't see how its any unsafer having a pic on here than sending by email apart from a pic on here will have the profile name on it so I suppose that could worry some people
I did have someone send a face pic by email recently,well it was meant to be a face pic,it was actually half a blurred face in the corner of the pic and the main pic being a pair of open legs and a pussy 
Not really what I was expecting and not acceptable to me as a face pic when I send clear recent ones if im interested in someone

I am one of those with a sensitive job, There are less than 400 people that do what I do in the whole country. Casual friends only know that I work for the government and my job title is kin to my direct line.
I still give out face pics, there are no naked pics of me on here and I never send them because they could be a risk, but seriously what risk is there to me in being here. I don't log on from work, I don't talk about work - what could happen to me if my bosses found out - fuck all is the answer, I'm not bringing the job in to disrepute.
People that use the excuse are just talking bullshit.

A friend of mine once used his play msn address to send pics to my play msn....
No problem at all until I joined Facebook under my real name...
It obviously did something to link the 2 msn accounts and suddenly I had access to his REAL Facebook account with all his personal info.
I now know where he lives and works, where his family work, and Ive seen some lovely pics of his wife and family....

We don't have a face pic on here and that is because our jobs are important to us as they bring in the money we need.
There is nothing about work being high profile or more important than someone elses.
Put quite simply, there have been stories on here about people who have been outed and it's not a pleasant experience. It's one thing to say it's illegal to discriminate based on sexuality, but another to test that theory.
Whilst in his job, it would be embarrasing and could lead to unwanted attention (not from admirers). In her job put quite simply if the people she worked for found out, it would make her job untenable.
We would have no problem sending a face picture, if we intended to meet up with a couple. But we'd like to assure ourselves we where dealing with an actual couple first, so a quick phone chat or webcam so we can all show we are as genuine as we can be outside a face to face meeting.
It still carries a risk of being outed if the couple in question are a couple of Trolls who want to do that to people, but all things carry a risk and we all do what we think is best to minimise it, or have it at an acceptable level to us.
I've no doubt that in a different environment we would careless about being open about swinging, but that's not the environment we are in and we are never really likely to be. |

Peoples privacy is sacred t them and for whatever reasons its thier privlage to reveal if they so wish ; if however you decided to reveal EVERYTHING about you on a "promise" then thats not right as they lied to you
so word of caution for future i guess; only reveal when you fixing meeting etc

I think maybe you've missed the point here, they expected everything but then refused to send even minor details about themselves but as I'm a single guy and very desperate then I must want to meet them anyway lol, they lied right through.. If they told me from the start it would be that way then fair enough, but they got my details including address by being very sly x |

I would never give my address out, however good their pics were. I recommend in the future you find a nearby pub or cafe and use that as your base, then if all goes well (and they turn up!) you can all nip back to yours for the main event. |

That is good advice but to be honest I've not had the best experience with couples on fab.. Most have given themselves the impression they are well above single guys and therefore we do as they say lol, too up themselves for me... I have a few on my friends list that I trust and think I will stick to them if poss, you know.. Couples go on about single guys this and that etc and they really can be just as bad lol, if not worse! .... But then I know there are some really great people on here too :D |

exactly right that everyone has different levels of privacy,I dont do blind dates,I also have a sensitive job but I will show anyone that I meet a picture of me and I expect the same in return which is what the thread was about,as I said I don't do blind dates and would'nt expect anyone to meet me either without a pic,those that are happy to do that can if they want

sorry but the last statement????...dont be so sure...irrespective of pics on a site...peeople in jobs that require codes of conduct always have to worry.Thats even from what they do in 'normal' life...such as drinking in public(or being super pished)-its one reason why some dont go on work nites or add work colleagues to their facebook.
whatever ur job is 2wheels am sure its great that ur one of the rare types to be employed, but national organizations(such as NHS!)...have a public image and sexual 'deviancy' is not what they would like o n the front pages...even if there isnt a pic to show the filthy fun. |

i had this the other day. refused to send pic. but after chatting i really did want to meet. i send my postcode and phone number..... but NOT my house number. told them to text when they arrive and will give house number..

Yes but if no reference was made to work all? Article 8 Human Rights Act means everyone has a right to a private life and freedom of sexual expression. Unless you're a vicar, there should be no issue if you don't mention work. |

I can understand some folk not wanting or being careful to show pictures, as some professional codes of practice class this "hobby" as bringing the profession into disrepute and can be struck off for it. Should one risk their livelyhood?

regardless of article whatever of the blahblah act lol...a face pic is not mandatory to get a meet(its my preferred thing!) but sometimes u have to understand, a face pic gets into the wrong hands...some people are spiteful for no self gaining reason, apart from taking some sort of sick joy in knowing theyve sent something to a family member or work colleague or boss.Plenty of people can meet and see what happens on the meet(ie social meet in a pub), its not great to be told u arent attractive to the other people...but most would deal with it.
anyway...for some peoples peace of mind...if ur job and life mean that much to u (most would agree its pretty fuckin important), a non-met for not showing a simple photograph pales in comparison to the perceived consequences.

In a sense, I'd love to be in a position to be able to give out a face pic like some people can. They obviously have no reason to worry if the pic should get into the wrong hands. What a simple life they must lead! All it would take is one nutcase on here if a meet didn't go well and that could cause mayhem - you never know who you could be dealing with. Its simple. If they can't provide face pics (I'd have said a swap but my face pics are on public profile) or they won't exchange phone numbers, then there's no point going any further.
The rules and etiquette work both ways - if that's unfair to them then IMHO they shouldn't be on here. |

Happened to us last night - He was happy to send a face pic of the guy but not the woman, afraid we wouldn't go any further and they (He) got quite shirty about it. We certainly wouldn't meet the paper bag under the clock at the station even if they were wearinga big red rose lol |

I have had no problems meeting people with no pics on here. It has never caused me any problems whatsoever. I refuse point blank to have pics on here or email any. Once they are on a website they are on the internet forever and who knows what could happen to them. I am not bothered about not seeing pics from anyone either, I can make up my mind when we meet face to face if things are going further. Besides have you seen how many fake pics there are on here? Face to face is the only way to know for sure what people look like. |

In the midst of recession I can't see why anyone would want to risk their job due to pressure from certain circles.
If a company wants to shed employees or if an individuals face doesn't fit they would be happy to use the 'Bringing the company into disrepute' line to send them down the road.

If someone you contact lives miles away from you, and you trust them to be discreet, as most are, then there shouldn't be an issue with sharing the odd shot or two, despite your work.
If you're really publicly known then I guess there's other ways of going about it then. I'd not be put off by it though... discretion is good in this game.

Surely if you can hide your verifications others can hide their photos? Are you ashamed of who you've played with?
People have as much right to hide/not have photos as other people have the right to hide verifications without being questioned on it.
The problem arises when people ask for photos but don't return them which I think is what the original poster was pissed about. The solution to that is, don't contact people that don't have public pictures ... simples. |

I can honestly say that if my boss learned there were naked public photo's of a senior account manager available online he would take a very dim _iew of it.
And like others say- office gossipers can make peoples life hell.
I work hard, sometimes take shit that I shouldn't have to and this is one of the things I do to shed off the stresses of work.
As such, its important to me and I am extra careful that those two worlds don't collide.

If I read a profile and like it, my next move wil be to look at the pics to see if I 'fancy' them. If there is no pic, I won't message. Not for any grumpy reasons, I'd just feel really awkward if I contacted them with interest, then didn't fancy them 
I DO completely understand that some jobs make it difficult to post actual face pics into a site like this though.

My _iew is that I've got pictures on of me dressed as a lass, taking it at both ends. I wouldn't care for my boss, family, or pet hamsters to see these, but without pics there is no point as it means the person contacting you doesn't fancy you, they just want sex with anyone willing.
People are perfectly free not to have face pics and the like, but by the same score, I'm free not to meet them.

I agree, that I dont think its fair for people to be sexually oppressed by employment factors.However I think I've learned(after coming off and coming on the swinging scene), that it is not ur LIFE.Quite happy to delete my profile, when its suited, and keep in touch with some people I've become 'proper' friends with.
I think when u take swinging(and all its other terminologies)too seriously, its a serious affect to ones life.
I respect the scene and what its about...but there is more to getting that extra bit of fanny or cock. |
