We have good open dialogue about it all as a family and that's what matters. There's no denial and our approach acknowledges and deal with realisations as my childrens lives unfold. | |||

You either stay in the area you’re from, which has been ghettoised and poses obvious threats to your children’s life chances and doesn’t protect you from racism from outside your community or you move and you are faced with exclusion and racism anyway. The solution seems, build neighbourhoods, alternative schooling etc. Which happened both in the US and the UK. Although I’m familiar with the UK context more. "I don't judge people by race. I know some people do and dress it as preference but I don't think preference should be based on skin colour. That may make me hypocrite as I like big bums and big boobs, but that is a preference, it doesn't mean I don't like small boobs and small bums. And it's really who they're attached to. I'm half white and have experienced lots of casual racism over my years and I don't like to idea of preference based on skin colour whether that be for or against. Just how I feel.
