Do any other couples insist on a female to female video chat prior to swapping pics, arranging a social/meet, etc.? If you do, how successful have you been in achieving such a chat?
We’ve exchanged messages with ladies via Fab and other social media platforms and we like to ask for a quick video chat between females to check if they’re genuine. We’ve only managed to do this once however.
We know there could be any number of reasons but are wondering if this actually puts people off & whether we should bother? X |

I can understand a video chat to verify who we are, but to be honest I'm very wary that it could turn into a webcam session which is not for me. But then if I'd been chatting to the couple for a while then I should be able to trust them if I was truthful in how I felt...
Can I suggest a phone call first and chat about something you'd put in messages to verify maybe? |

I did wonder if that’s how the request for a video chat is perceived. The trouble with a phone call is that we still can’t tell if a lady’s pictures are real or fake (in the case of new/unverified profiles). And whenever I’ve politely asked for a lady to photo verify their profile on Fab, they’ve never done it  And we have no way of photo verifying on other social media platforms, so don’t want to waste lots of time texting/chatting if they turn out to not be who they claim they are. |

Personally I have no problem photo verifying...although I realise I've not done it on here, but I think that's a reasonable request. |

It isn't something I'd be that keen on doing purely because I lack confidence on cam as I think I look awful  I can see why you might want to ask though and I'm sure plenty of people wouldn't mind doing it. I guess if we had been chatting a while and we were interested enough we would though x |

Unfortunately the opposite seems to happen - we chat to a lady for a while, ask if they’d mind a fem-to-fem chat, they might say yes...and arrange a time...then we get excuses as to why it’s not happened. We like to give people the benefit of the doubt but it just keeps happening and so we’re trying to look at it from a different perspective, in case it’s off-putting to expect to chat?! I like to think it might reassure a female too but maybe not Mrs x |
